i’m reading Elantris and maybe i’m stupid but i swear i’m so confused, the names are all so similar, (Reod- Shaod- Raoden…) not to mention the pronunciation of Iadon, Hrathen, arteth, gyorn, wyrn….

I managed to get my best friends to read the Mistborn series and now they're on The Well of Ascension. The thing is, they're romantasy readers who love the trope of the morally dubious dark-haired guy with overpowered abilities and a dark past, and now they're looking at Zane like he's a piece of meat. On top of that, they don't like Elend and his romance with Vin (I'm their biggest shipper).

I'm holding back with all my might the urge to scream that the love triangle in this book only exists inside Zane’s disturbed head.

same here, I’d like to apologize on behalf of all romantasy readers… i swear it was impossible not to see Zane as a morally grey character.

On top of that the chemistry between Vin and Elend is practically gone in well of ascension and in every romantasy book when that happens AND a morally grey character is introduced we know whats gonna happen

with that said i did come to my senses at some point while reading and love Vin and Elend together

just let us be delusional for a while
