March 15, I want to change my life
I am living the life that society has always planned for me, the life that society has always told me to live. "Find you a secured job, work hard, work your way up the ladder, pay you bills..."
Am I the only one tired of this low expectation. I remember when I was a kid and i was so sure that I would have by now written a top selling book series or have painted my own art collection displayed in a gallery. But than you grow up and it becomes about making sure that all the bills are paid and that the unexpected doesn't become like quicksand. Than after a few years of spending without thought you've decided okay now it time to really grow up and start saving and getting ready for retirement; and anything else 'they' thought unnecessary to teach you in school.
Let's find some purpose; Let's have some meaning and reason for waking up.
what do I absolutely love in life?I absolutely love to create. Being able to create a space/ an item that reflects someone. Painting( The canvas can never be wrong and there is no place for judgement)Makeup (Wedding/ Event Planning; being apart of that special day)Hairdresser (I like making feeling there best but right now its stable work. .
What are my greatest accomplishments in life so far?I'm only 24, but my current greatest accomplishments are...Finishing cosmetologist; and getting my license and actually starting a job on career path.Getting back on my feet after almost facing homelessness(this years goals: purchase my first car and expanding my career.
What would I stand for if I knew no one would judge me?Haven't founded anything that I am that passionate about; or I guess nothing has affected my life in a major fashion.
If my life had absolutely no limits and I could have it all and do whatever I wanted, what would I choose to have and what would I choose to do?I would move to the Austin/Dallas Area, become and assistant to a well skilled stylist/barber. I would keep it simple because one of the main things I have learned in the last two years is that 'things' can be here today and gone tomorrow.
What would I do if I had one billion dollars?Pay off my loans. Purchase a car. Start making moves toward building my career.
Who do I admire most in the world? The freedom to be able to do what you love in life and being able to take a hold of those opportunities when they come your way. Along with our ability to give to others, no matter how different.
