“Ah…” Leo said with a slight nod, taking in the information. “What book?” He wasn’t much of a reader, so chances were he wasn’t familiar with it. Still, he was curious to know what sort of impression he gave off. As the silence fell between them, after Chase’s comment regarding art, Leo felt a sort of heaviness in the air. Probably just with how much he could resonate with the sentence. Even without knowing what Chase meant by it or what exactly was going through his head, Leo still felt like he could understand- at least partially in some what. “I don’t know you- or anything, but you’re obviously good at other stuff,”He countered quietly. For one thing, he was certainly a lot better than talking than Leo was. “But…. yeah, I get that,” he added in a quieter tone. “That’s a long list, then,” Leo admitted with a brief chuckle. “But who knows, you may have better luck.” Did it really have as much to do with luck, though? Or was everyone finally just giving Leo what he wanted? He made it pretty clear since he first got to Luxor that he wanted to be hated. Sure the intensity of that desire would come and go, but maybe everyone finally was just fed up with trying while all he wanted to do was push them away. “I think consistently, Ches and Jack are the worst- if I had to narrow it down to just a couple of people. Ches actually is- for the most part generally likeable, I guess, though. I just made it on her shit list early on. As for Jack, he just wants to be hated, so… he’s just a dick to everyone with few exceptions.”
“I think it was the mausoleum sprinter or maze dasher, something like that, either way that guy seemed really fucking decent. so that’s what i’m trying to say that...you’re cool in my book.” chase said offering leo a smile as he combed a hand through his hair. there was a lot that weighed heavily on chase, but he wouldn’t really let it all out, sure there were glimpses here and there, snippets of how sad of a boy he truly was, but none could be the wiser. “thanks,” he mumbled, appreciating the gesture at least cause at least he was trying. “course it is, this school is full of rich kid assholes, who will use their money to get high or do whatever it is rich kids do with money.” he thought he would buy himself a mini golf course where he could go and get drunk with friends as they played, but that would never really happen. “maybe? so far all the guys i’ve met have just wanted to get into my pants, cause apparently it’s hot to fuck the new poor guy? dudes are weird, but their credit cards are pretty cool.” he mused. “don’t know them, but they sound caucasian, so i already think they might be annoying. if jack’s last name isn’t daniels then he’s of no importance to me, and what was the other name? checkers? if they can at least buy me something from wendy’s like the spicy chicken asiago, and a cupcake, then they’re cool.” he grinned. “jack wants to be hated...what is he a character from the outsiders?”
