I know I’ve ranted about starset on here before, but I’m genuinely starting to lose faith in them.
Because why in the HELL would you be so anti-AI in modern times and then all of sudden start posting AI generated music videos? That’d be like me saying “pollution is wrong and no one should ever do it” and then chucking a plastic bottle into the ocean. Sure, you can cover it up by saying “Well big corporations and people do it all the time, I’m just showing what they do while being against it”, but in the end, you still contributed to the problem.
There’s a reason why starset fans always push fanart and fan creations out more than anything else. It’s because we respect human effort. Hell, starset has a whole lyric video DEDICATED TO FAN CREATED ANIMATIONS AND DRAWINGS. If you already have something like that up, then it makes no sense for you to suddenly jump to using AI and dismissing it as “harmless.”
It’s no secret that AI is replacing humans in many ways. That’s why this is so frustrating. As far as I know, dustin would commission many artists to help with art, production etc. And while I’m sure he does still do that, there’s no doubt that the artist he’s working with is using AI. I’m not sure if they came out and said that the artist has came out and said so, but it’s painfully obvious that it is.
Go watch the newest MVs they have up on their channel (ESPECIALLY THAT GOD AWFUL HEAD OVER HEELS VIDEO, THAT ONE IS THE WORST) and you’ll understand what I mean. It hurts to look at considering the imagery of their other videos.
Many of their old videos were seriously like short films that just happened to have music in the background. Go watch the “Ricochet”, “The Breach”, or the “Halo” MVs especially, those stick out to me. You’ll feel the fact that those videos have insane effort behind them, like they have heart and soul. The “Echo” video especially needs mentioning since the incredible artwork it has.
I’m hoping starset as a band sees the complaints and changes, because I’ve been legitimately turned off from them now. And this is coming from someone who has a signed poster and used to only listen to them for the longest time. Nowadays I’m just like “oh, starset dropped”, and then I watch it maybe a week later. I used to be so excited when they dropped new music that I would drop everything I was doing to pay full attention to them.
So please, stop the AI art use. Idc if I’m being overly sensitive about it, it’s been a hot issue for me since I have many friends who are incredible artists. I hate seeing such talented people being replaced by a soulless art machine who copied from the talented artists it wants to so desperately replace.

Ix grabbing C00lkid by the scruff and showing him to John Doe. Obviously C00lkid starts freakung out until 1x shushes him and just tells him to "let him smell you". Cue the poor kid stiff as rock, while John Doe sniffs him. John's brain finally realizes that this is a child, pure baby, baby mine, must care for baby. C00lkid is now being licked clean by scary big man that my dad told me would take me away if I dont eat my veggies

Finally figured out a 1X design
I really wanted for her and Shedletsky to have parts and designs from Telamon. Since I headcanon that those that have been to the Banlands for long periods of time tend to look more like demons or dracobloxers, he has a more dromeasaur design than just bird like
the double d’s: Doombringer and Dusekkar, complete opposites
Doombringer is powerful demon native to the Banlands, and like all natives their, he is destructive and chaotic with a fiery temper.
Dusekkar is a wise forest spirit that likes to hoard knowledge of any kind. He’s really good at deciphering falsehoods, scripts, and codes.
I headcanon that Builderman's form is a fake, a disguise. There is a literal god, a demon, and magic pumpkin as admins and then the top dog is a regular guy!? Nah, he lying. He isn't human/robloxian, just the creation of an otherworldly being that doesn't know what human looks like. None of the admins, or hell, anyone knows what he truly is.
Also have a Telamon with his shit eating grin. Stupid bird bastard that I hate/j
