UPDATE AGAIN!!

Okay, this is a really late update, but it's been awhile since things have died down a bit here. That being said, the government is still ass but what can you expect from something infested by money hungry rats?

I'm still busy adjusting to college and stuff that comes with that, so I'm still not going to be posting often, sorry :(

Update on Indonesia again

I'm a little late this time because I wasn't really on social media much in the past week but holy fucking shit man.

Right, so for starters, the DPR (dewan perwakilan rakyat) or the house house of representatives was rushing to pass a revision of the laws that dictate how someone would be investigated for a crime.

The revised contents were written vaguely and basically would allow the police to consider someone as guilty before being proven innocent. They can basically consider anything you have as "evidence of misconduct" To put you into custody.

Then there's the disaster in Sumatra, the flood that took over 300 lives. Said flood was caused by the deforestation the gov has been doing there for the sake of making palm tree fields so they can make more palm oil.

Best thing about this? (<- Sarcastic) the gov refused to consider it as a national disaster and allow external aid to come flow in. Not to mention their ways of providing aid was to chuck rice bags from helicopters or aircrafts and let them fall to the ground carelessly, basically ruining the food on impact to the ground.

I'm sure there's more shitty things happening that I'm not up to date on, and for that I'm sorry.

But holy fucking shit man.

I cannot even say eloquently enough in English how pissed I am and how laughable the clownery that is the Indonesian government when it comes to handle shit.

Especially how certain politicians responded to this shit.

TW: Mentions of dead body.

This isn't what I expected to post today, but 2 missing people from the protests back in August were just found dead. Bodies charred within one of the burned buildings during the demonstrations.

Reno and Farhan, they were declared missing on the 29th of August 2025. Found in the ruins of a Astra Credit Companies in Kwitang, Central Jakarta, a building burned on the same date they were declared missing.

Please note that the police or investigation team had been in there, within the building, up until the 20th of Oktober, when the building owner wanted the police lines to be lifted so they can rebuild.

The bodies were found in 30th of Oktober, on the second floor.

They claim they didn't notice the bodies due to the rubble and the burning smell of the building masking the smell of rot. They've been in the building for around or over a month.

UPDATE.

Forgive me as I haven't been posting much, the situation in Indonesia has been getting more dangerous lately. Especially around my area.

Protests are happening, demonstrators (university students) have been reported to be disappearing, several people have died by the hands of the government. My campus is in the red zone and I'm scared.

The government has been suppressing the news. This is like the new order era all over again.

I'm sorry but I don't think I will be posting anything for awhile depending on the situation.

And please, for those reading this, help shed light to the situation. Don't let another New order situation happen again.
