can you do a romantic zoro x reader with soft zoro only for reader?
because of (fibromyalgia, autism, trauma) i am very sensitive physically and emotionally and it feels like nobody understands. i just want to be treated gently and cared for. so, can you please do zoro x reader for someone with these characteristics?
❦ love reserved for you !
roronoa zoro x gn!reader
warnings — established relationship, mentions of kissing
notes — hellooo sorry this took so long! I hope i was able to write something that fits your tastes ❤︎
the first time you met zoro, he was as standoffish and stoic as usual. he minded his business but he noticed you from afar and with how perceptive he is—especially about people’s physical conditions—he may of noticed from the start you struggled with something people may not be aware of.
— getting closer…
it would be lie to say he wasn’t curious. when you opened up to him about your fibromyalgia, it was the first time he heard of it. he wasn’t able to voice his concerns (as usual) but he showed it through his actions.
“[name], let me know if you need help with anything.”
“don’t push yourself too hard, i got it.”
he was always there for you, even if you never asked. he was intrigued by your background, letting you talk for as long as you want about your past. he was patient and had ears only for you.
when you explained that you were on the autism spectrum, he was once again very understanding and didn’t change the way he acted toward you. if you had needs, he was very receptive and listened to any requests. he didn’t show any signs of annoyance—he is as loyal as can be.
— entering a relationship…
once the two of you made it official, it was like he proposed to you. he vowed to protect you and made sure everyone who disrespected you would get what they deserved.
“if anyone gives you any problems just let me know.”
if you had any routines or self-care techniques, he would learn them as well so he could help you when he could. zoro synced his schedule with yours as well so he’d be there for you if needed, listen to any of your worries or just helping you out with daily tasks.
he doesn’t do anything if he isn’t sure he can and goes straight to you to ask. zoro genuinely wants to make sure he’s doing everything in his power to help out with you.
he is very gentle with you with everything he does. he’s also very subtle, like walking a few paces behind you to make sure you’re okay, or to scare off any one who may be looking too long. zoro is always watching; reaching for things you may be reaching for so you don’t have to get it, carrying your bags, or making sure things are the way you left them if he changed something around.
zoro definitely is still learning, and may take time to adjust, but he truly simply cares about you and wants the absolute best.
when intimate, he makes sure you’re okay with anything he does. he might look at you with concerned eyes rather than voicing it since he’s still shy in that department, but he doesn’t mind speaking up if you need it. after all, all his love is reserved just for you.
he caresses you with careful movements, kisses you with intention, and if you’d like he gives you massages. zoro will never cross your boundaries once you set them—he will not disappoint.
“I’ve never felt this way about someone before… but for you, i’d do anything.”
Hey! I saw that your requests were open, can I ask something for Luffy? Where you're in an established relationship and it turns out Luffy blushes more than wants to but doesn't know? I want it to be a fic btw
YOU DON'T NEED TO WRITE IT IF YOU DONT WANT TO!!

synopsis: the crew stops by an island to restock, but a blizzard passes through and the two of you get separated from the rest. but a tiny little cottage is spotted in the distance…
notes: they/them used, not proofread; i love my boy man but he’s fs a noob when it comes to romance so i personally believe that kind of stuff flusters him once he actually falls in love (i hc him as demi/grey)
“This was probably the worst island we could’ve stopped at,” Usopp muttered behind you, teeth chattering as he breathed into his gloved hands.
Icy gusts of wind slapped your cheeks raw, prompting you to pull your hood tighter. The wind was picking up speed, a whirlwind of snow obscuring your vision as the path ahead blurred into nothing. A storm was moving in, but the Sunny’s nearly bare pantry shelves pushed everyone to keep walking.
It wasn’t long before your captain’s bright red coat disappeared from your sight, and suddenly the voices of your crewmates surrounded you. With their words carried by the swirling winds, you stopped walking and began trying to pinpoint their locations. You called out, too, but their voices were only getting further.
“[Name]! [Name], where are you!?” Someone yelled from a distance. It wasn’t clear, but you’d recognize your boyfriend’s voice anywhere.
“Luffy! I’m right here!” You shouted. Frantically, you glanced in every direction, but couldn’t pick him out through the onslaught of snow.
Then something grabbed your hand.
“[Name]! You’re okay, right?”
Relief flooded your body. It was Luffy.
“Yeah, now that you’re here.” You glanced around one more time, but you couldn’t see or hear the others through the snowstorm. “How did you find me?”
“I just followed your voice. I wouldn’t have stopped looking until I found you,” Luffy said, a wide grin on his lips. Warmth sparked in your chest. Although his cheeks were probably red from the cold, you let yourself believe his own words might’ve affected him in some way. It was difficult to figure out which direction someone's voice was coming from in this weather, and yet, he still found you.
“Do you think you can hear anyone else?”
Luffy paused for a second, closing his eyes.
“Nope, I think they’re long gone now, but they’ll be fine. But the snow is really coming down!” You nodded. Trying to find the town or head back to the ship would be impossible now.
“Should we try walking in the direction you came from, then?” You asked, glancing behind him.
“Hmm… Well, it’s worth a shot!”
Just as the two of you began walking, you realized he was still holding your hand. His grip was firm but gentle, and he quietly led the way. With the intensity of the storm increasing, trying to talk while walking would only leave you with a mouthful of snow.
*
After walking for what felt like ages, you weren’t sure how long the two of you would be able to keep going. Night would fall soon, and there had been no signs of the town or the shore since.
Just as hope began fading, Luffy glanced back at you, pointing at something in the distance. Squinting, the outline of a wooden structure began forming, and the two of you hurried to the front door.
“Helloooo! Is anyone home?” Luffy shouted. “Helloooo!”
You knocked a few times on the door as Luffy called out, but there was still no response.
“Shit… what if no one’s home?” You said quietly. At this rate, you weren’t sure if you’d–
Your arm flew to your face when a sudden tickle assailed your nose, forcing you to sneeze. When you looked back at Luffy, his eyes were slightly wide, and his brows furrowed–he was beginning to worry.
His lips parted to say something, but the wooden door creaked open, and an old woman appeared in the crack. The short old lady had her hands behind her back, scanning the two of you up and down before immediately gesturing to come inside.
“What’re kids doing outside in such weather? Get in here now!” She yelled, her voice devoid of any anger.
As the two of you shuffled in, Luffy exclaimed, “Old lady, my partner–I think they’re getting sick!”
“It was just one sneeze, I think I’ll be fine,” You said, but you couldn’t deny that without any heat, soon you just might come down with a cold.
“If that’s the case, then take off your wet clothes and sit by the fire!” The old lady yelled once more. “I’ll get you kids some blankets.”
She disappeared up the stairs fairly quickly, not heeding your attempt to thank her services.
The house fell into a sudden, cozy quiet with just the crackle of the fire and the soft drip of water from your soaked coat.
You reached up to undo the buttons, but paused when you noticed something: your other hand was still tightly clasped in Luffy’s.
“Luffy, you can let go now…” You said softly, turning to face him.
When he realized, he dropped your hand quickly, his cheeks warming to a light red.
“I was just–you know… making sure we didn’t get separated…” Luffy muttered, his eyes darting everywhere but your face.
He could’ve let go the moment the two of you found the cottage, but when the thought arose, he quickly ignored it, deciding he wanted to hold your hand a little longer. He was still a novice at romance, considering falling in love was never a part of his plan, and while being affectionate with you never embarrassed him, he didn’t have a good explanation as to why he was still holding your hand.
You laughed at his attempt to hide his embarrassment. It wasn’t the first time either. Luffy rarely felt self-conscious, but he couldn’t deny that he felt a bit awkward whenever he caught himself doing things he never imagined he’d do, especially when the two of you were alone.
“Yes, of course, because this cottage belongs to a giant, we could definitely get lost,” You joked, shrugging off your coat.
“Well, it’s not impossible!” Luffy shot back, removing his coat. “What if the walls started moving or something!?”
He was a bit defensive at first, but when he saw you laughing again, he quieted. “...I just didn’t feel like letting go…”
Glancing at him, you noticed his ears were tinged pink. You felt the urge to call him cute–if he weren’t already flustered, you’d say it in a heartbeat. But you decided not to torment him anymore.
Taking his hand, you pulled him with a smile. “Let’s go sit by the fireplace. I know you’ve never been sick, but some of us aren’t that lucky.”
Moments later, the two of you sat in front of the fire, with your hands outstretched to keep warm. When the old lady descended the stairs with a large brown blanket, she mentioned the storm wouldn’t pass until morning, offered a spare bedroom, and announced she’d be making dinner before disappearing into darkness once more.
Unfolding the fluffy blanket, you swung the fabric behind you both until it draped over your shoulders. Luffy inched closer to you, and you rested your head against his shoulder. You found it hard to keep your eyes open with warmth from both Luffy and the fire keeping you toasty. You could fall asleep like this…
“I wonder what everyone else is up to now…” Luffy began, but his voice trailed off when his eyes fell on you.
His alone time with you was always limited–moments like these were hard to come by. As much as he wanted to do something exciting, he couldn’t help but watch you drift off into slumber. Who would’ve thought the sight of his significant other would be enough to silence the captain of the Strawhats…
hi! can i request a romantic sanji x gender neutral reader where the reader has a long day of work or smthng and just immediately goes to sanji and he helps them wind down with food, cuddles, etc?
♨︎ cherished moments !
pairing: sanji x gn!reader (established relationship)
note: what is there to despair when sanji exists? he would definitely invite you over every day, let's be real
Despite how excited you were earlier in the week when Sanji invited you over for the weekend, that same enthusiasm had disappeared before you even finished your last task for the week. It was the only thing you were looking forward to, but work had sucked the life out of you and the only thing that was on your mind was rest. Unsurprisingly though, when you walked out of your workplace, your special someone was already waiting for you with a bouquet of flowers…
“Mon amour, how was work?” Sanji asked, but before he even finished his sentence, he could tell that you were exhausted. You gave him a weak smile before he embraced you gently, giving you a soft kiss on your forehead.
“Just leave it to me, mon cheri.”
He isn’t joking at all when he says this. He takes care of any bags you are holding swiftly, opens the passenger door if he’s driving, or takes your hand if the two of you are walking home. He even offers to carry you on his back if it seems like you could use the break!
When the two of you arrive at his place, he helps you take off your shoes and puts away any jackets or bags you took with you. If your first instinct is to freshen up, he’s right behind you! Sanji loves to help you unwind by washing your hair, doing your skincare routine, or even helping you shower if you let him (though beware, he is very much in love with all of you.)
If you need a moment to yourself, he takes that time to prepare a meal for the two of you. Noticing how exhausted you are, he makes something that helps fulfill your energy, and a light refreshing dessert to put a smile on your face. If you have any specific requests, he’ll make it without any complaints, but usually, he can read your mind when it comes to food.
After dinner is over, the two of you sit comfortably together, maybe watching a movie or chatting together about the week. Sanji keeps you close, allowing you to rest on his chest while he lays down. He rubs your back softly, tending to any spots that are a little more tense than others. His voice is tender when he speaks and his eyes are full of hearts every time he looks at you. You may be absolutely wrecked from the entire week, but it’s quiet moments like these that Sanji cherishes the most.
with: ace, sabo, luffy, zoro, sanji, and gn!reader
synopsis: one piece host!au headcanons where your favorite men try their hand in stealing your heart ! ❤︎
note: instead of saying madam/sir, i just left it as [term] so you can pick for yourself!
A host club had appeared in town, and while it usually wasn’t something you’d indulge in, you couldn’t help but wonder what kind of guys you may meet…
Sometimes Ace wonders if he truly belongs in the host club, but he just can’t find it in him to leave. He certainly doesn’t hate the attention, but sometimes it just overwhelms him, that’s all.
Learning the ways of a host was challenging, but he grasped it quite quickly, and his fan base grew immensely. He had a boyish charm about him, revealing a vulnerable side of himself if prompted carefully.
If you’re too affectionate with him, you might find yourself with a blushing mess! So please do refrain from complimenting his beautiful freckles, tell him he smells nice, or look at him too lovingly or he might combust!
“You’re too sweet to me, [name]…”
But all in all, he’s an amazing host. If you have a request, he’s quick to set a plan in action, ushering you around with a respectful arm around your waist. When he’s not trying to die from all the affection you give him, he’s quite confident and that playful smirk never leaves his lips.
He’s bold and suave, and makes grand gestures a part of brand. He spins you around, gifts you flowers, compliments your beauty and gives you an unforgettable experience.
Sabo is probably one of the smoothest hosts that this club has ever seen. He has a way with words that have his clients dropping to their knees, and he ends up with racks and envelopes of confessions from every client imaginable.
But you, on the other hand, are certainly his favorite. Even when he first met you, with the mannerisms of a prince, he took your hand and spun you around until you fell in his arms.
“It’s a pleasure to meet you, my beautiful flower.”
His smile was deadly and he made sure to use it right, often after a little teasing so you’d forgive him for playing with you so much. He often smelled of citrus and leather, and every time you left him his scent lingered on your clothes. He has no problem being a little handsy once you give him the green light.
If you're interested in someone you'll struggle to keep up with, Luffy is your best choice. Some may wonder why he's a host, but his playful and inquisitive manner makes him a natural in some eyes.
The moment you step foot into the hall, he greets you with an all consuming hug.
"[Name]! You made it!"
You're smothered with his scent as he pulls you into a welcoming embrace. He's genuinely eager to meet you, but someone in the background quickly reminds him to address you correctly, and he certainly does try going forward.
He quite honestly takes you for a ride! He has so many things he wants to do and he wants to do them all with you. If he wasn’t confined to the host clubs premises, the two of you would probably explore the entire city! But please tell him if you’d like to slow down—he may be energetic but he refuses to neglect your needs.
For starters, Zoro doesn't know how he ended up as a host. Rumor has it he lost a bet or was challenged by a fellow host sanji and went along with it. But he is the hardest host to book with—if it wasn't for the weekly quota he had to make he probably would've found a way out by now.
He may be a bit gruff, but he certainly is intentional. When you arrive to the club, Zoro is already waiting for you, his back on the wall. When he looks up to see you, only a faint blush is noticeable on his ears. His hair was partially combed back, but stubborn strands littered his stoic face.
"I've been waiting for you, [term]..."
Zoro tenderly reached for your hand and bent down with his eyes closed to place a delicate kiss on your fingers. Your senses were suddenly invaded with the scent of sandalwood and musk, strands of hair falling to cover his sincere expression.
When he looked up at you with hooded eyes, you almost had a heart attack. His gaze was intense—you’d think he was trying to seduce you if this club was meant for other purposes, but the faint blush that dusted his expression revealed he was just as shy as you were.
Unlike the rest, Sanji had the most experience when it came to hosting since it’s simply in his nature to treat his interests like royalty. His beguiling smile and sweet words have many head over heels for him.
Every time he spoke, a string of saccharine compliments followed—you’d think he was a poet the way he his each compliment effortlessly rolled off his tongue.
“I could give up my dreams for you, but something tells me you’re the dream I was meant to chase, mon chéri.”
He was quick to serve you by pulling out a chair, twirling around you to compliment your style and your absolute beauty. His treats and tea were his speciality—he made sure to ask in advance if you had any allergies or preferences.
can i request usopp and an artist!reader in the one piece universe?
maybe reader and usopp aren’t close but get to know each other in wano? the reader could be an artist absorbing wano’s culture (as a straw hat or pirate or even a wano!reader idc) while usopp is living in wano. maybe they’re known to like each other by friends and get teased? maybe we see how their relationship changes over the wano arc?
thanks :)
✌︎ crushing on the local artist !
pairing: usopp x gn!artist!reader
word count: 2.0k
notes: this was actually quite fun to write, so i hope i you like it! this ended up longer than expected lol
After falling victim to a disastrous storm on the sea, you were separated from your crew and ended up as a castaway in a foreign country. Despite the country’s view on outsiders, a kind soul took you under their arms until you were able to sustain yourself, slowly integrating into Wano’s society as an artist to make ends meet.
– first meeting
It had been months since you began living in Wano, having moved to the city and making enough money to stay afloat. You spent your free time roaming the streets, learning about the culture through stories and traditions, and found yourself absolutely in love. The culture was gorgeous, and you spent days painting (or using your preferred medium) trying to grasp the beauty of it all.
On one particular day, you were sitting in front of a shop whose owner you’d grown fond of lately. She allowed you to create and sell your art with no strings attached, and the two of you were slowly becoming friends. As a shopkeeper, she was aware of merchants in the area and told you about some newcomers: Usoland, a merchant who sells toad oil from the East Blue and Sangoro who just opened up a soba stand just down the street. Your friend raved about the soba, but you were concerned–how did toad oil from the East Blue end up here?
You decided to check it out for yourself–if there was someone who possibly entered the country, there was a possibility you’d be able to leave Wano, though you weren’t sure if that was what you truly wanted.
The moment you laid your eyes on Usopp, you knew he was an outsider. His face felt somewhat familiar, like you’ve seen it on a wanted poster somewhere. But you were distracted by his act to attract customers, and giggled at his attempt of a Wano impression. His beard was obviously fake, yet he managed to fool the majority of his customers. The toad on his head must’ve sold his act to those around him, and you applauded him for his effort.
He didn’t feel like a threat–instead you were intrigued. You’d never heard of toad oil that could cure all wounds, but you couldn’t mistake his kind demeanor. You wanted to know more about him.
Usoland noticed you watching him from the corner of his eyes and he was immediately caught in a trance. The fact that you were absolutely striking was one thing, but he could also tell something was off about you, though he wasn’t exactly sure what it was either. But his intuition told him you weren’t a threat, just someone who was curious about his toad oil. Though every step you took toward him sent his heart rate into dangerous territory.
“Usoland, right? How did you get your hands on toad oil from the East Blue?”
You asked plainly with a bit of amusement. Suddenly, Usoland was stuttering all over himself, unable to make coherent sentences. Although he thought you were a civilian, he still had to stay undercover, but the way your vibrant kimono wrapped around your body left him a mess. He couldn’t hide it–he was overwhelmingly attracted to you.
“You don’t have to worry, I’m on your side.”
You whispered, making sure only he could hear. After that, he calmed down a little, deciding to trust you. Someone as beautiful as you wouldn’t hurt him, right?
– innocent visits
After telling Usoland about your art, he somehow found his way in front of the shop you were at every day. He always said it was just a coincidence that he ended up where you were, but wasted no time placing himself next to you.
He was entranced by your art. When you discovered his name was Usopp, he started telling stories about his time on the sea as a great pirate captain. How he took down ferocious monsters, defeated some of the most powerful pirates, and uncovered some of the worlds greatest treasure. He promised that once his ship was fixed (which he said was why he was in Wano) that he would take your art with him.
Through his “coincidental” visits, you learned so much about each other, and discovered he was a creative himself. He painted from time to time, but he focused on inventing new gadgets and tools. Through this, you learned that he was a sniper with exceptional abilities. The two of you bonded over your shared interests, and he never failed to make you laugh with his outrageous stories. Your laugh had him wrapped around your finger.
– a few strawhats noticing
Sanji (whom you still know as Sangoro) was the most concerned as to where Usopp disappeared during the day. He knew he walked around for new spots to sell toad oil (and find information about Kin’emon’s allies) but every time he came back there was a blissful energy about him.
Franky, Robin, and Sanji were sitting behind Sanji’s soba stand, talking about what information they’d gathered so far. It was only a matter of time before Usopp returned with that same stupid grin on his face.
“Oi Usopp, I hope you haven’t abandoned your purpose here to frolic around with some chick?”
“Oh? I thought we all knew Usopp grew fond of the artist on the other street.”
It was one thing for Sanji to talk about getting distracted, but Robin confirming that he had been taking a bit of time to hangout with you was another. Usopp wouldn’t be able to escape the torment he had coming.
“Usopp… when did you plan on telling us about your superrrr crush?”
“I’ve seen them a few times. They’re quite the eyecatcher.”
“Eh? You said they’re down the street?”
“Y-you guys need to s-shut up! We just like to talk about art sometimes…”
He was blushing furiously. He didn’t want to admit it, but he did grow a huge crush on you. When he was with you, he was at peace despite the chaos that surrounded him at all times. Staying with you was also an excuse to protect you if something went wrong–he feared that someone evil would disrupt the peace in the city and hurt innocent people like you. He may be a coward, but he would stop at nothing to make sure you could keep on smiling.
But with the strawhats finding out about your existence, their teasing would be the death of him.
“Usopp, you left your–are these your friends?”
Then it clicked–they were the strawhat pirates. You were slightly surprised that they were in Wano, but then again, knowing of some of the secrets that Wano was hiding and it wasn’t such a surprise.
“The strawhats… What are you guys doing in Wano?”
You weren’t a threat, and they could tell. But you wanted to help them if you could–not because you wanted to leave, but because you knew that they were here for a reason. Your crush on Usopp was also mutual, and you wanted nothing more than to see him safe at the end of it all.
Despite that, the strawhats took another moment to tease the two of you after introductions were finished.
“Y/n… what a beautiful name.”
“Y/n, my darling… could I offer a beautiful soul like yours my special soba?”
“What a superrrr Kimono you have on!”
The kindness flustered you a bit, but you were smiling nonetheless. Usopp felt relieved that the strawhats accepted you, a proud smile evident on his face. But nothing could get past Robin–she could tell with a simple glance that you were just as head over heels for Usopp as he was for you. Your eyes only left Usopp for seconds at a time, and she noticed how hesitant you were to touch him, even in the most platonic way possible.
When his hand brushed over yours once you gave him back his totally forgotten toad oil, you stuttered ever so slightly. Your eyes caught Robin’s right after, and with a sly wink, she sent you down embarrassment alley.
“What kind of art do you like?”
Oh, and, while she is genuinely curious about your art, she only asked at that moment to watch you trip over your words.
– the days are numbered…
Knowing Usopp was a strawhat, you knew that he could only stay in Wano for so long. So you spent as much time as you could with him. You showed him some of your favorite techniques while creating, and he couldn’t stop complimenting your abilities. He absolutely admired your talent and wouldn’t stop raving about it, especially to civilians on the street.
“I hope I become just as good as you one day, Y/n!”
“You act like you aren’t just as talented, Usopp.”
Oh, he loved when you complimented him.
“Right? Just one of the many things Great Captain Usopp can do!”
You knew you’d miss these conversations, the silly banter and inside jokes. The things you were scared of, things you missed from your hometowns, the things you wanted to try–you talked about it all with Usopp. He was like a breath of fresh air, someone you could be fully comfortable with.
But as time passed, you wondered how he felt about you.
And one day, he disappeared. You weren’t sure where he went, but you knew it had something to do with Kaido. You and your friend enjoyed the festival together, but you wished you were able to experience it with him as well. A part of you felt a little upset that there was nothing you could do while the rest of them fought for the sake of this country, so you hoped that they’d stay safe, and that they’d return.
– the end…?
When all was said and done, Usopp came running to find you again. Wano was free of Kaido’s and Orochi at last, and he needed to make sure you were safe.
“Y/n! You’re okay!”
You were setting up your station again in front of the shop when you heard his voice. He was back.
“Usopp! You’re okay! I was so worried that something went wrong and I had no way of knowing…”
You rambled for a bit, and Usopp was surprised to learn that you were so worried about him. He thought of you as a friend and hoped you did as well, but hearing you confess just how anxious you were made him realize that maybe… just maybe there was a slight chance you had feelings for him.
But he wasn’t ready to be rejected. He was sure of it. How could someone as beautiful as you take a liking to someone like him? He was a coward, someone who couldn’t be taken seriously. And yet, you still were worried about his safety… perhaps that meant something?
“Usopp, if I told you I liked you… what would you do?”
You asked silently one day, when the two of you were sitting alone, enjoying the banquet he invited you to. Immediately, he short-circuited. He froze in shock, staring at you with wide eyes. He thought the possibility of you liking him was so small, that he completely threw the idea out the door. Red creeped up his neck as he tried to find the words to reply.
“You… you like me?”
You nodded a little too eagerly. He couldn’t even joke about this. Not even a “Of course you like the Great Captain Usopp!”
“W-what if I said I–I like you t-too?”
You could barely contain your excitement as the words left him. There was so much you wanted to do–hug him, scream, kiss him, tell him how much he makes you happy–but it was cut short by the ruckus going on inside the banquet hall. So the two of you promised to talk about it again after.
“I know we’ll speak again later, b-but I just wanted to say this! If you came along with me-us, I would be the happiest man in the world! But if you want to stay here, that’s totally fine too! I-I just wanted to tell you in case I’m not able to later…”
You smiled, happy to learn he wanted you by his side as well.
Luffy asking Sanji advices to being a good boyfriend. Cuz let's be honest, our boy isn't the smarter lover, but he wants to be a great boyfriend for the Reader. long fic, angst and fluff
❤︎ what makes a good boyfriend ?!
pairing: luffy x gn!reader
word count: 1.1k
notes: mainly fluff, ngl... but tried to make it a bit angsty with luffy's emotions. i tried my best with this one, but i always have a bit of trouble keeping luffy in character when it comes to romance haha hopefully this is okay!
Luffy absentmindedly wandered into the kitchen as Sanji began preparing the ingredients for dinner, his eyebrows furrowed intensely. He fell into a chair, his mind replaying a conversation he overheard on the last island they stopped at to restock on supplies. He didn’t have much time to dwell on the conversation as he heard it, having been pulled away by you to look at something far more exciting. Luffy forgot about it instantly, ready to spend the rest of his time on the island with you.
Before he got trapped in his thoughts, he’d decided he would find you and join whatever you had planned, but before he could the conversation replayed in his mind.
“Sometimes I just wish my boyfriend would put a little more effort into our relationship. Sometimes I feel like he just does whatever he wants.”
He didn’t even get to see who said it, but hearing the word “boyfriend” caught his attention. The two of you had only begun dating recently, and he still wasn’t sure what it meant to be a boyfriend.
Sure, he knew the basics—in his mind it was like having a best friend with added benefits he couldn’t get from anywhere else, but was that all there is? Luffy suddenly began worrying if there was something he was missing, and the last thing he wanted was to disappoint you. He’d never felt love like this before, and the thought of losing you because of a blunder he could’ve avoided made him a nervous wreck—at least on the inside.
Luffy relaxed against the chair, an audible “hmm” reverberating through his chest. It was certainly unlike him to think about a single topic so much. He let his head flop back, and his eyes caught Sanji chopping up some cucumbers. He realized Sanji hadn't said anything since he walked in, to his surprise. Usually Sanji would be wary of him doing something rash while he was cooking, but that wasn't the case today.
He then narrowed his eyes on Sanji, recalling moments when Sanji had hearts for eyes. He tended to treat the women on the ship with more respect and the men with feigned indifference, acting all lovey-dovey with Nami and Robin whenever he could. Luffy wasn't like that, he knew that much about himself, but doesn’t that mean Sanji would have some experience with his current dilemma?
The seeds of a new insecurity were taking root inside, and everytime his mind wandered back to that conversation, his smile dropped ever so slightly. It was slowly suffocating him, dampening the memories he was making with you because doubt followed him everywhere he went. He wasn’t sure how much longer he could take it, and so the words left his lips before he could stop them.
“Sanji, what do you do when you want to make someone happy all the time?”
The knife Sanji was holding froze mid cut as Sanji’s gaze fell on Luffy. His jaw dropped slightly; he clearly wasn’t expecting a question like this from his captain of all people. But then the realization hit—Luffy was definitely talking about you.
“What, you’re worried about Y/n or something?” Sanji asked with a teasing tone, placing the knife down on the counter.
He watched as Sanji rinsed his hands off with a smirk on his face, and suddenly Luffy felt a bit self-conscious—a feeling he wasn’t used to. He pulled his head back up, playing with the edge of his straw hat, unsure of what to do with his hands.
“I just want to make sure they’re happy… and that they’re happy with me.” The words felt foreign as they left his lips. He wasn’t usually one to worry about such, but he’d never loved someone the way he loves you.
Sanji pulled up a chair in front of Luffy and took a seat. Already, it looked like his head was in the clouds thinking about the realm of love. “Well, treating them like royalty is a must! You shower them with compliments, gifts, all the affection in the world…”
As Sanji went on a tangent about the different ways to please his partner, Luffy’s brain started short-circuiting. He was spewing all sorts of love jargon, romantic activities, and elaborate gestures that all went over Luffy’s head, leaving him blinking in confusion as he tried to keep up. It was like Sanji entered an entirely different world, completely leaving Luffy behind.
After a few seconds, Sanji opened his eyes to see Luffy’s puzzled face. He sighed–not in disappointment, but because he remembered his captain simply wasn’t the type to think so deeply about these kinds of things.
“But honestly, it’s much simpler than that. If you really care about Y/n, you just have to find out what makes them smile,” Sanji said at last.
At that, Luffy sat up excitedly. “I already know that–they smile a lot when they’re with me!”
Sanji furrowed his eyebrows. “Well, it’s not as easy as that… they like being with you, but what else makes them smile, Luffy?”
Luffy blinked, tilting his head to the side. Memories of his favorite moments with you–which is practically every time–resurfaced. He remembered how your face lit up with excitement when you were gushing over one of your interests and how proud you looked after completing a project you’d been working on for ages. He remembered your bashful grin when you tried on a new outfit and when your mouth watered at the sight of your favorite dish. If he were being honest, he didn’t remember much about the activity itself, but every time you smiled, the image was etched into his memory, never to be forgotten. His eyes were on you far more than he realized.
Sanji smirked. “It looks like you already know what makes them smile, right? It’s the little things–just show that you care about the things they like and what makes them happy and you’ll be okay.”
He wasn’t sure if he was doing enough, but when he was with you, your smile never felt forced. He knew it was real, and Luffy was determined to never let your smile falter. Your happiness meant the world to him, and he would do whatever it takes to keep you happy.
By then, the sprouts of doubts had withered away, melting his previous worries. “Thank you, Sanji!” Luffy said with a wide grin. He sprang up from the chair, bolting toward the door–he couldn’t wait to talk to you again.
“And if you’re ever unsure again, you can always just ask Y/n!” Sanji yelled.
He was right–Luffy wondered why he didn’t think of that first.

notes: first time writing for marco … hope I did him justice! also I never know what to call this kind of post… is it a fic? maybe? yes? no?
In only a few days, an unknown illness spread like wildfire throughout Sphinx, preying primarily on young children and the elderly. Marco had quickly deduced it had transferred from a trading ship that landed a few days prior but would have never guessed it would take your small town by storm.
— the first night
It was the first time in a while that the two of you had to pull an all-nighter to care for sick patients. But the two of you were in sync, tending to patients with the utmost care and taking the right measurements to avoid getting infected yourself.
“Marco, where’s the extra antibiotics?”
“Right here, doc!”
Despite being his assistant, he always jokingly referred to you as ‘doc’ when the two of you were working, but the small smile that appeared on his face meant he truly admired your hard work.
But as the night turned into day, the two of you realized that the curtains of this epidemic were not falling anytime soon.
— missed check-ins
Days passed, and you and Marco were overwhelmed with patients from left to right. There was barely any time to rest—you were missing meals to take naps that lasted minutes before springing back up to take care of the next patient. The last decent conversation you had with Marco felt like ages ago, and only time could tell when you’d have another quiet moment with him.
You and Marco had designated times to check in with each other, but with so many patients that needed immediate care, the check-ins became scribbles on post-it notes scattered in the office. During a brief passing, Marco noticed something slightly off with your demeanor.
“Y/n, if you need a break, take one. You’ve been running around since—,”
“It’s okay, Marco. Don’t worry about me—see?”
You smiled weakly, trying to force your eyelids from drooping so low. You knew you could use a break, and yet the influx of patients was too great to ignore. Your only option was to keep on moving.
Marco frowned, wishing he was able to take on the burden himself. Just before he was about to say something else, another patient had walked in with a yelp. His face was plastered with worry as he glanced back at you, and you simply gave a nod of approval before heading to the storage to pick up some more supplies. You didn't want him to worry about you when there were patients' lives on the line.
— his regret
The long days of the mysterious illness were finally coming to an end, and with the help of a temporary assistant, the burden of the entire epidemic had slightly been lifted off of your shoulders. But before you could get to your last patient, your movements slowed and suddenly your world turned black. The last thing you saw was a frantic Marco headed your way.
He was absolutely distraught. He noticed your unusual movements from the corner of his eye, dashing in your direction with unrivaled speed when he realized you were fainting. Marco was never one to show his emotions so blatantly, but your limp body in his arms had his worst nightmares turning into a reality.
“Y/n? Y/n!”
You were alive—thank fuck. But you were knocked out cold which meant anything could happen. He placed the back of his hand on your forehead—a fever. How could he have missed this? His worries earlier were spot on, but they somehow slipped past him.
Marco was quick to take action. The remaining patients could be taken care of by the temp, so he took the responsibility of nursing you back to health. Within minutes, he’d gathered your things and took you back to your home.
As you slept, he took care of you with quiet fervor. He was never gone for more than a few seconds at a time, making sure he was watching your every move. When he settled beside your bed after changing your clothes into something more comfortable, he did something quite uncharacteristic.
Marco closed his eyes as his calloused hands gently brought your hand to his lips, and he murmured,
“Y/n, please—please, wake up soon.”
And as if on command, your eyes slowly opened. His head was down as he silently prayed for your good health. You watched him quietly, unaware that he could be such a worrywart. It made you laugh, but just the slightest bit.
“I’m right here, Marco.”
He lifted his head with such force, you'd think something had yanked his head up. But the look in his eyes told you everything. He carefully pulled you toward his body, his arms wrapping around you so tight that you thought he was trying to merge the two of you into one.
“You’re the only one I have in this life, Y/n. Please, promise me that you’ll take care of yourself.”
