Black Lives Matter is held to such a ridiculously high standard. If anyone who is REMOTELY associated with BLM commits an act of violence, white people use it as an excuse to smear the name of the entire movement.

I love how Rick Riordan has become the anti JK Rowling in terms of majorly influential children’s book author depicting diversity in their books. While JK is a TERF and loves to make everything about herself, Uncle Rick makes characters based off of his students and to help represent those who aren’t often depicted in books or media of any sort. I know he’s not perfect but he’s better than granny billionaire playing victim by a long shot.
