““Let gratitude be the pillow upon which you kneel to say your nightly prayer. And let faith be the bridge you build to overcome evil and welcome good.””
— Maya Angelou (via naturaekos)
“Today is good. Remember how much your friends love you, and if you can’t remember, go outside and feel how much the Sun loves you; how it feels to be hugged by the light. Eat some fruit. Drink some water. Buy a candle that smells like cupcakes. Today is good, I promise, and tomorrow might be even better.”
— Schuyler Peck
Try not to worry. Really, the universe has such a magnificent plan in store for you. Ask for what you’d like, give thanks, and then let go. Let it do its thing.

How to Avoid Over-Thinking
1. When you feel bogged down and you can’t clear your mind, do something physical or get some exercise.
2. Set a time limit for your “thinking time” then make yourself move on to doing something else.
3. Interrupt the thinking process or distract yourself by diverting your attention onto something very different.
4. Stop discussing what concerns you with everyone you meet as you’ll just end up confused, and you won’t know what to do.
5. Accept that uncertainty is part of this life, and we don’t have all the facts, or know what’s further down the road.
6. Throw yourself into a project, a hobby or some work. That will force you to refocus on something else instead.
7. Let your mind go blank and just relax for a while. It will help you see more clearly when you start to think, next time.
“I have learned that you can care about someone past your own breaking point and give them the best, most honest advice you know how to give - but it still wont affect their decisions. Sadly they’ll continue to make their own mistakes and all you can do is stand back and watch. The only thing you have control over is how much you let it affect you emotionally and whether, in the end, you choose to be there with an ‘I told you so’ or a hug.”

Practice gratitude
Say kind things more often
Start loving what you see in the mirror everyday
Play with your pets if you have some
Have a warm cup of coffee/tea
Read (anything)
you know that feeling when you’re out in nature at 5 or 6am and everything’s still quiet and the air still smells like night time and it’s fresh so you shiver a bit but then slowly the first rays of sun peak over the edge of the earth and everything is bathed in foggy, golden light and you just stand there watching the earth awaken.. if that’s not soothing idk what is
Spent the day picking wild flowers
if your boyfriend is your best friend, you’re doing it right.
if your boyfriend is your only friend, you’re doing it wrong.
THANK. YOU.
