The only acceptable trans Tim headcanon would be Tim introducing himself to the batfam as a boy from the get-go with such confidence that no one questions him. Then, his first solo case as Robin is investigating the disappearance of Jack and Janet Drake's "daughter," so he pretends to have a twin sister by forging a bunch of documents and photoshopping family pictures. He then fabricates evidence of her death, committing multiple crimes in the process, and holds a fake funeral at the end. Because if his previous name is dead to him, he's gonna kill it the Tim Drake way

The other day I was writing an argumentative analysis on the definition of " an Icarus Tale"

I argued that infact an Icarus tale is a story about how a young person can make one mistake ignorantly and another party may punish it the same as they would if the person did it maliciously.

I cited evidence from the original text by Ovid where it says that Icarus was blinded by his ectasy and excitement from freedom.

Never in that text does it say he challenged the gods will or acted on hubris

I was about 3/4ths through the essay that "A death in the family" is an Icarus tale.

I COULDN'T STOP THINKING ABOUT IT!!!

A large part of the community (COUGH COUGH, JIM STARLIN STANS) blames a 15-year-old Jason for going into that warehouse in the first place. They blame him for his Excitement at finding his mother. They act as if a bitterness to Bruce was what drove him to do such things. It wasn't! Maybe it wasn't the smartest decision to go into that warehouse unguarded, but he was ecstatic!! He thought he found a member of his family who truly loved and missed him!!

He flew too close to the sun, but not on purpose.

And oh, Daedalus. The father of the boy who flew too close to the sun.

The father who stayed in his lane, took no risks, and in the end was arguably punished more than that of his child. Who forever lives with the guilt of not preparing his son. Not making it in time.
