Haven’t been here in a while but I was curious to see if any of my art got flagged after seeing artists’ compilations, and here :D I’m surprised my mermays that show more skin haven’t gotten flag but both a forest & a cat did xD

Eliza Valent & Roxanne Read - 2018 Redesign Ideas (1) (October 2018)

Little redesign ideas for Eliza & Roxanne I drew recently as part of a uni project ^^ ~ Hadn't properly drawn in a while too so that was one way to get back into it xD I'd been thinking about trying out some wee outfits/haircuts changes this summer for them so that was fun to try! Haven't really changed her colour scheme either but maybe I'll do more #design explorations if I have the time & motivation ^^

Eliza Valent & Roxanne Read - Original 2015 Concept Art (October 2015)

Here are the original 2015 #conceptart #characterdesign I drew for Eliza & Roxanne, 3 years ago in October for a uni class in first year, featuring my bad handwriting & sketchy lines :D ! It was also my first attempt at character concept art :) ! Eliza got more clothes options but Roxanne got more hairstyles back then :D There have been a few changes here and there since then, and more to come probably ^^ At the time I had no idea how much I'd come to draw them & write about them haha :P So aye, here are the original concepts for these two!

‘Earth Remembers’ - Digital Artworks/Concepts/Studies (Sept 2017 - Apr 2018)

Sharing some artwork/concepts/studies I did for the climate negotiations game "Earth Remembers", a university project in collaboration with Purdue University between September 2017 - April 2018 x) Worked as a Digital Painter, one of the UI Artists, Card Artist, and implemented art, mostly ^^

Note that the conceptual artwork were based off/referenced off photographs :) (available as captions to the images!)

Under the Storm (July-Oct 2018)

"Thank the gods, you're alright... I thought I'd--we'd lost you." She'd drawn her close without thinking, her brow against hers, needing to feel she was really here. A few seconds later, oblivious to Roxanne's hands slowly reaching for hers, she would realise what she'd done in her impulse and back away immediately, clear her throat, apologise, and clumsily call it a 'cultural gesture'.

Doodle/Study - Wynonna Earp - 20072018

Wanted to do a doodle/study of #WynonnaEarp for a while, and season 3 is airing tonight so ^^ (though, episode 1 premiered on Monday, I think?). The doodle study was meant to last only 1h but it definitely didn't xD It was fun though! Enjoying art for the first time in months and excited to get back into digital painting doodle studies :D ! So much to learn, so much to practice :3 Have a lovely evening everyone ~ ! (ref in the caption :))

Sketchbook Doodles/Sketch Dump (Nov 2017 - June 2018)

I wanted to show what kind of silly mess goes on in my sketchbook, especially since I haven't done a lot of art outside of occasionally doodling in it these past months :) And I hadn't done a doodles/sketch dump in a while, too ^^ So yeah, it's a festival of floating heads/busts with some quick sketch studies & occasional animals (and a lot of random written commentary/thoughts haha), all in inconsistent quality xD Some of them I like, a lot of them not as much, but they were done to unwind, to have fun, and to draw a little bit regardless of how terrible it might end up looking :) ~

Apparently, July 6th is International Kissing Day, so here’s a ref’d sketchbook pen doodle from February of Eliza & Roxanne ^_^ ~ Very quickly added some digital colouring on top of it for fun, might do it as a proper illustration someday :P 

(I think the photo I used as a ref for the pose was from Tumblr? Can’t find it anymore :/)

“Doodle - Bi Pride - June 2018″

It's the end of #PrideMonth, and when I realised earlier this month that I hadn't posted "Hi, I'm bi :)" on my art Twitter when I made it last September, I asked some friends whether to post it or make a new artwork for this year, and they voted "BOTH" :p Since it took me forever to finish my last drawing, here's the doodle I managed to do just before July begins :D ! Technically, Pride weekend is happening in two weeks here where I live, so, not too late to post this ;)

Well, I’m not really good at communicating/interacting with people unfortunately (very anxious introvert here ^_^”), especially online, but I try my best to reply to messages I get :) ! “Afternoon Chat” (June 2018)

A month later, I manage to finish an artwork, hurray x'). It shouldn't be taking me that long to do art but hey, mental health ups & downs and an apparent crash in my artistic abilities decidedly make it more difficult to do and complete things xD

I missed drawing these two and won't get to do a special Pride Month artwork this year with them, but I'm happy I at least managed to get them girlfriends in a coloured artwork during Pride Month :) Just enjoying a peaceful sunny day away from adventures & fights ~

“Drowning” (May 2018)

I meant to finish this for #MentalHealthAwarenessWeek (May 14-20th, 2018), but oh well. Here are some stuff (in no particular order) I've been dealing with all my life (like many others) ; usually it's ok, but sometimes I don't have the energy to fight & I feel like I'm drowning, like these last few months. Art was always a way I coped with anxiety & what not, but for the past 7 months, it just worsened it (hence my absence of posts since November). Slowly getting back into it though :)

I've actually started this in December since it was how I felt, and tried to work on it a few times throughout the semester but it mostly provoked more anxiety, so I didn't get far until recently when my 3rd year of uni finished and I've been able to cope a bit more. Yeah, ironically, almost all these listed weights occurred when painting this x) It didn't help that I decided to use techniques & concepts that I'm still fairly new at and need a lot more practice in haha xD Digital painting, painting skin,  hair, metal, clothes' folds, chains, etc. are all stuff I'm not used to tackle so that was a challenging piece from start to finish xD

Doodle - 24112017

A doodle I mostly did last night (added basic shadows and a green blob today x)) to calm down from yet another anxiety attack / small breakdown :p Helped relax a bit, even if the guilt of doodling instead of doing uni work is killing me x') Anyhoo, I wonder what name to give her, since I like naming people I draw ... any suggestions ^^? Not sure who she is yet, but she likes the ocean and sailing :3

“Sketch Study (Practice) - Sunmi 18112017″

Been a while since I was able to do some sketch studies of portraits, and uni's been... really heavy on me lately, but technically this is part of my research into character design for a module, so, works out haha :p Anyways, because I was in dire need of a break from most my uni workload, I decided to doodle/scribble from a reference photo of Sunmi, to get back into drawing in general, back into portraits, and into digital art & painting x) Mostly to practice and relax though :p

On the Final Day, the power of Majora’s Mask brough doom to Termina.
