I got a new laptop and Iâve been meaning to try out krita, sai, and artdesk and all my drawing apps, but Iâve been so demotivated lately, I just... havenât. Iâve barely even been keeping up with my bullet journal.
Iâd really like to get back into it and hopefully officially open up some commissions for characters and stuff, but who knows when thatâll be. sdhfkjs I have so many ideas but just no energy to want to put into them.
Youâd think being quarantined would make me super productive, especially in art! But nope. Itâs depressing me and making me super restless. My typical exercise routine is to go walk to the grocery store/shopping center/park and then home, but now I canât do that and I feel like Iâm gaining all the weight Iâve lost and thatâs making me *more* depressed.
Hopefully this all is resolved soon and we can go back to doing things we enjoy and not worry about not being able to find a roll of toilet paper.
Added a new sticker to my teespring! Should be added to redbubble soon as well.
Click for higher quality!
I am very slow, but I was busy this weekend, so... This is still a WIP.
Trying to force myself to shade... even though I forget where my light source is supposed to be half the time.
Honeysuckle & Foxglove
Opened a new shop on teespring! Iâm still going to continue using redbubble, as they are slightly cheaper, but teespring offers higher quality products and provides me, the artist, a more reasonable percentage of profits. So Iâve scrapped my society6 shop (its products are cool, but far too high-end for what I need) and created this one! Not much there right now, but Iâm planning to add my other Butch, Futch, and Femme design colours I have on redbubble soon.
Also new stuff, hopefully!!
I haven't been drawing much lately... just busy and demotivated, but I have managed to doodle a bit and start on March in my bullet journal, so that's something!
Doodle break.
I am terrible at having an art blog.
Been working on a commission for @gayweatherballoon (no idea why it wonât tag correctly but okay), but Iâm still determined to finish Lyric... Eventually I will.
I keep finding things wrong with her that I want to fix. I almost wanna do the lineart and stuff over with a different brush âcause I feel like it doesnât look right. But. Weâll see.

More of an Arcana style guide to go with my colouring guide.
I tried to cover key aspects that make the style distinct so I hope this can be useful :D
I've been terrible at even trying to draw something lately. I keep wanting to, or to at least work on my Lyric sprite, but by the time I have time, I'm just... so tired.
A guide on my process for colouring like in the Arcana which I developed through studying the style.
Now, this is just for sprites or for neutral lighting. In the case of most memories/CGs, you have more interesting colours to use, but the process is identical. There are just extra steps.
Using my favourite memories for each character as examples (hopefully, you can tell which ones) you can see this process. All of this happens on layers above the base drawing.
Usually, you set a colour-filled layer to the setting âmultiplyâ over the entire drawing, then using a âscreenâ, âaddâ, or âhard lightâ layer, you add the lighting. Depending on the intensity of the lighting, the outline will be coloured to be lighter.
The shading colour rarely changes, aside from slight hue changes.
Misc advice/tips/tricks below. I may update it depending on if I get further questions.
