i realized at a show the other night that i wish i could have one day where i know absolutely nothing about music and production. i was listening to the mix coming through the speakers and realized the high end was too loud, and that the drums were poorly tuned, and it's all i could focus on for the rest of the band's set.

i feel like it would be nice to experience music from a completely non-critical standpoint. just one day, one show, where i know absolutely nothing about music and how it should sound and be made.

i feel like i end up ruining music for myself sometimes with how critical i am.

is that weird?

happy 15th anniversary infinity on high!

infinity on high is definitely one of my top albums of all time, and to think that it's 15 years old now is wilddd

although.

fall out boy, my beloved boys. what the fuck is that merch. it's not even like quirky and cute 'bad design' it's literally just ugly. i'm sorry but it's just straight up abysmal. the mixing of fonts? the weird wonky text??

we would have loved some cute little shirts with franklin the sheep, like the little design on the front of the long sleeve shirt, but you had to ruin it with that very bad text.

i can finally consistently afford band merch but i'm not about to drop $35 on embarrassingly bad-looking merch. honey.
