> Paddling my way towards the vast horizon.
Spent last Sunday learning to do stand-up paddling with some friends. It was fun and yet exhausting, giving my arms a bit of a workout paddling through the stronger current of waves. Definitely an activity worth trying out and doing again.

I love the cozy interiors of this cafe, it's the perfect place to spend time with a company of good friends. Their Malt cake, infused with melted marshmallow between chocolate layers is especially good!

I've always loved making origami and paper crafts growing up. Once in a while and whenever I need to scratch my creative itch, I pick up a piece or pieces of paper and start creating. Sometimes I have no idea how the final piece would look like or turn out but I think that's what makes the whole process fun and exciting. Whatever the outcome, the very act of creating something is very much enjoyable and cathartic for me.

This used to be my mom's violin, she played when she was in high school. Finding this piece of treasure brings to mind an ultimate fantasy of being in an orchestra, either playing the piano, the violin or the cello. I may never be a world-class musician but I'll do my best to keep practicing my chosen instrument and keep playing for everyone and anyone who wants to listen.

My friend Tidow invited me and my friends over for a coffee making/appreciation session at his house. He patiently explained and at the same time, demonstrated the process in making espressos, macchiatos, cappuccinos, mochas and lattes. He even let us take a shot at it. His passion for coffee and dedication in mastering the craft of making a good cup easily shined through and left me inspired. I'm positive that his future cafe will be a success and that I'll definitely join in his band of loyal customers.

I chanced upon a beautiful sunset while driving through South Road Properties after attending a friend's wedding ceremony en route to the reception. The streaks of purple, orange and pink amidst the fluffy clouds couldn't have been a more romantic backdrop.

Given by my next-door neighbor Ching, these scrumptious empanadas or curry puffs as my Singaporean and Malaysian friends call them, were perfect for a light afternoon snack. Surprises, especially of the edible kind, are always a welcome treat.
