Sorry for the lack of activity here, Iāve been mobile bound as of late so replies and such might be slow.

Azazel brought Merrillās hand up, placing a gentle kiss to the back of it before merely holding onto it. She had no words at the moment, only her care for the other woman. She smiled gently, rubbing her thumb over the back of her hand as electric eyes looked away for a moment.
āPerhaps theyāre just trying to keep you in good hands.ā
Merrill smiled at the soft kiss. It was strange to have any sort of affection but it was something she liked.
āMaybeā¦. you make this place really feel like home.Ā ā She spoke softly a moment as she moved a bit closer to Azazel relaxing more with a shy smile.
āIām glad, Merrill.ā
She wrapped her free arm around the elf once more, her smile widening at the notion. Hearing such things often made her blush, but coming from Merrill, she knew they were genuine words of kindness. Something she actually felt. That in itself warmed the mageās heart.
Merrill moved to relax further into the otherās arms letting herself let the silence fill the space. It wasnāt uncomfortable but it was nice, to just hear Azazelās breathing, knowing she wasnāt alone anymore, it was more than she could ask for.
The small mage allowed her eyes to shut as she held onto the elf. It felt nice, just sitting with her like that. When was the last time she got to relax in the quiet like this? She couldnāt quite remember. Though, she wasnāt complaining. Any time spent with Merrill was rewarding, and getting this relaxation certainly didnāt change her mind on that.
@ser-pounce-a-mage started following you
āCan I please just go a day without faintingā¦?ā
The mage groaned, rubbing her palms against her eyes. How many times did that make it that week aloneĀ that she had fainted in the middle of the street? And how would Varric or her family react if she told them it happened again? Not very well, she supposed. A small yawn escaped Azazel as she leaned against the wall of the Hanged Man, not quite ready to go inside, but not wanting to linger too far. Electric eyes focused on gloved hands, not taking note of the male that approached.
āThis isā¦beginning to be a problemā¦ā
Anders knew he shouldnāt meddle with strangers on the street. He shouldāve learned his lesson a long time ago - and the hard way too. And yet all his healerās instincts flared to life the moment he saw someone clearly looking faint like that. He could assume the woman was so wobbly because she was leaning against the wall of a bar, of course, but Anders knew the difference. Sort of.
āAre you alright, Serah? You look like you should perhaps lay down for a little?ā
Azazel jumped at the sudden voice. She really shouldnāt have after all her time fighting. Letting her guard down was a stupid thing to do, but with consciousness failing her minute by minute, she couldnāt be blamed for it. Electric eyes looked up at the other as she attempted to wave him off. This failed however, as she almost immediately fell over. Gloved hands moved to try and stop her fall, grabbing onto the bar.
āIād say Iām fine..but you just saw that isnāt the case...ā

āYou can set it up on the dresser if youād like. I usually put my things there when they arenāt getting washed.ā
A gentle laugh escaped her. It was meant to be a joke on her organization. The room itself was fairly neat, but things she used regularly were often left out so they were easy to find. Her clothes were no exception. Though, this choice often ended with her constantly pulling at dog hair during the day, she didnāt seem to mind.
āYouāre practically swimming in those, I forgot how much bigger than you he is.ā
Her next laugh was forced as she sat down, stroking Lucielās head as he wiggled his way into her lap. Electric gaze settled upon the mabari before looking back up at the other.
āAre you comfortableā¦?ā
Carefully, Fenris placed his armor on the dresser. His sword was too long to fit comfortably so he set it against the wall. It would take him only a moment to grab it if he needed it at night, which was what mattered. He walked back over to the bed and pat Luciel, the dog giving him a happy woof.Ā
āYour brother is a very large person,ā Fenris replied. He hesitated answering her question, thinking about it for a moment. There had been quite a long time since he last slept in a place that wasnāt the mansion. In there, he barely felt safe. He kept expecting slavers to come out and capture him in the middle of the night or for demons to appear and attack him as he slept.Ā
But here he was not alone. Azazel would be in the room with him as well as her massive dog. And that comforted Fenris.Ā
He smiled at her and nodded. āYes. I am.ā He sat on the bed next to her.Ā āAre you?āĀ
āIām quite comfortable, yes.ā
Her reply was sweet as she leaned against the male. Slender fingers toyed with the fabric of her clothing as she looked up at the elf. Blue eyes looked at Luciel before she shifted her gaze back to him.
The last time they had slept in the same bed things hadnāt exaclt ygone how she had planned. Or how she wanted. Perhaps this time would be better. At least, she certainly hoped they would. The thought of losing Fenris a second time hurt her worse than sheād like to admit. More than she understood, as well.

āI would very much enjoy spending time with you, Fenris.ā
The mage looked up at him as he took her plate. She enjoyed having him around, more than words could describe. The dark haired woman got up from her chair, following Fenris as they conversed. She wouldāve held onto if she wasnāt so nervous.
Nervous. Why was that? She had very rarely been nervous around Fenris before. Sheād taken her medicine like she had that night and all would be fine. It had to be. If he knew that his marks hurt her, there was no doubt in her mind that heād try to avoid her for her own good. He was just that kind of person.
āAre you alright with Luciel sharing the bed? Heās grown used to sleeping at the foot.ā
It was hardly the first time Azazel had told him that she enjoyed spending time with him, but every time it threw Fenris off. He coughed and took his time putting the plates back in the kitchen, handing them to Orana. She spluttered, apologizing for not being there to remove them but Fenris reassured her it was fine.Ā
After ensuring that she was ok and knew she could relax for the night, Fenris returned to Azazel.Ā āWell, I donāt think I have much of a choice in the matter,ā he replied, looking at the Mabari in question. The dog was easily Fenrisā weight, if not more, and besides. Luciel was probably Azazelās favorite.Ā
Fenris was strangely ok being less important than a dog.Ā
āI do not have anything to change into,ā Fenris realized. He usually slept in his armor, but he had the feeling that Azazel would be uncomfortable with that.Ā āAre there any robes I could borrowā¦?ā Though it took only a glance to realize that nothing she owned would fit him comfortably.Ā
The question of having anything made the woman stop to think. Nothing of hersĀ would fit the elf, certainly. He wasnāt much taller than her, but every inch counted, she was sure. She could remember Bethany complaining when theyāre clothes got switched growing up because Azazel was shorter than her as well. Not to mention sheād hit puberty far before her younger sister.
āI..should have some of Carverās old things if that would work for you. Itād just take a moment to get them.ā
The mage made her way into the room, rummaging through the bottom drawer of her night stand. After a moment she came back with a few different garments, all neatly folded. She held them out to Fenris, smiling softly.
āI uh...got a few different things in case one or the other doesnāt fit. Carver got some of his clothing a size or two too big.ā

āI have it.ā
She replied simply, slender fingers moving over the area of her chest where the necklace rested under her cloak. Electric eyes gleamed as she looked up at him hopefully. It had taken her forever to find a sword of better quality than what she had given him previously, but it was a worthwhile search. At least, she certainly hoped it was.
āDo you like them?ā
Fenris swallowed, nervous suddenly even as he nodded. He carefully put the necklace on, letting the heart hang behind his breastplate to keep it safe during the fights he knew would come. Without a word, Fenris stepped close to Azazel. Neither of them were very tall but still he couldnāt help but feel intimidated by her presence. His tattoos lit up so close to a mage, feeling the energy spark from her body.
āI have never received a gift Iāve treasured more,ā Fenris replied.Ā
āTruly? Guess Iāve got a good eye.ā
She was trying to make a joke, moving to press a gentle kiss to his cheek. Slender fingers moved to grasp his arm and a smile spread across her lips. Azazel moved her grip from his forearm to his hand, holding it loosely before leaning her forehead against his chestplate. She couldnāt describe how nice it felt to hear those words. To hear that she had made him happy.
āIām glad you like them, Fenris.ā

"Azazel?" Fenris stepped into the front room, still shivering a bit from the cold. His hair was dusted lightly with snow, though it was hard to tell with how they blended together. "I, ah... I wished to give you your gift. Before we meet at the Hanged Man." He pulled a small package out from under his cloak and held it out. Inside was a wrapped, albeit clumsily, book. Fenris had taken a long time to find it; it was a collection of Tevinter children's tales.
āYou got this for me, Fenris?ā
The small mage unwrapped the book carefully, She held it to her chest after inspecting the title and wrapped her arms around the male with a soft laugh. She hadnāt expected to get a present from him, but it certainly wasnāt unwelcomed. She pulled away from the hug momentarily to grab something from her bedside table. Gloved hands hold out a carefully wrapped package containing a sword and another necklace, this one with half of what seems to be a heart.
āThank you for thinking of me, amatus.ā
Hesitantly walks over and kisses Azazel on the forehead
The mageās face turned a light shade of pink before she stepped forward and placed a chaste kiss to his lips before looking away.

āAmbushes are suppose to be secret, amatus. Especially when theyāre ambushes of love~!ā
A small laugh escapes the woman as she wraps her arms around the elf. A gentle smile spreads across her lips and she kisses him on the cheek, resting her head on his shoulder after. It was always fun seeing how heād react to certain things, though, she tried her best not to do it too often. Or when he was in one of hisĀ ākill anything that jumps at himā moods.
āYou were out longer than I thought youād be. I missed you.ā
Christmas Mistletoe.
