It's the place where I found the most kindred spirits — enough oddball, overeducated, anachronistic, anarchic people to make me happy

Thanks to art, instead of seeing one world only, our own, we see that world multiply itself and we have at our disposal as many worlds as there are original artists

Tema Hima: Time, Work and Life in Tohoku, North East Japan
I am actually pretty excited to catch this film at A Design Film Festival (#DFF2013), given that I missed the exhibition when I was in Tokyo last year.
It was an interesting exhibition that featured the livelihood of the people in Tohoku: the craft, the food and the living spaces. Click HERE for more information about the actual exhibition held at 21_21 Design Sight. This year's A Design Film Festival's line up is pretty awesome, and you can view the full listing either on their website, or via a listing I've written for PoachedMag.
Recalibration
It’s been crazy lately and I decided to take some time out to catch-up on many things that I used to enjoy doing like reading, editing all my photos and perhaps, reviving this space here with interesting ideas and beautiful sights.
It time to sit back, look and listen...and maybe do a little recalibration.

Adam Smith claimed that the idea of fashion applies to situations in which taste is a central concept. That applies to clothing, furniture, music, poetry, architecture, and the field of fashion can, thus, be situated between design and culture. Roland Barthes explained how "clothes are the material basis of fashion, whereas fashion itself is a cultural system of meanings
