Act 3: The Message (Part 2)
Chloeâs mind was racing. Racing faster than it has ever had in her life. Even her encounters with akumaâs didnât make her mind race as bad as it did now.
she refused to turn her gaze an inch from the crazy looking woman as she spins her scissors on her finger. A bored expression on her face, the cat ears on her head drooped down. Slowly humming as she speaks her thoughts out loud.
â alright~ Iâve made it to this point~. Although I wasnât supposed to take much time on thisâŠ.â She taps her foot slowly as her blade twirls on her finger.
She then shrugs with a tired smile as she moved her attention directly towards the scared blonde.
â Well~ as long as the task is done right~â
StepâŠstepâŠstepâŠ. She separated her scissors as the started to slowly extend.
The woman with a false smile on her face takes her time as each step after another feels slower and slower as she wanders towards Chloe.Â
StepâŠ.stepâŠ.step⊠the halves of the scissors grew and grew.
her mind raced, why is her heart racing? This wasnât new! All the akumaâs of the past, when they were after her, were always on and on about vengeance and all that stuff.Â
But this⊠this feels so different. So, so differentâŠ. Feels likeâŠ.
StepâŠ.stepâŠâŠ. Clang.
Chloeâs nerves heightened to its pitch. She looks up to see the neutral glare and closed grin of her attacker stare down at her. Blade in each hand as she raises her right up to her cheek. Her smile never breaks. Then she spoke. Her ears hearing one thing.
And her mind hearing what she meant.
âYouâre going to dieâŠ.âÂ
Without warning, Chloe bolted. Did she have a plan? No. but ANYTHING was better than this. Her assailant looked at her scurrying run. Not with shock, but with a bored âhuhâ as her tail slowly began to wave side to side.
Chloe looked for any escape. Anywhere she could escape from. She then saw an exit door, what luck. She made a b-line to the door if she could just make it to-.
Suddenly, what felt/sounded like a bullet whizzed right past the side of her head and her only escape was suddenly blasted to bits as if hit by a ballistic round. The impact caused her to fly back from the door. Groggly getting up, she looked at what was her exit now buried and blocked by rubble with a long blade sticking out of it.
âChloe~â She felt fear cling to her back. âDo you plan on playing this game with me~?â a voice of curious fun came from her blank smile. She needed to get away, NOW!
Without hesitation, she bolted for the upward platform aiming to go up to another layer. She could try to run to the opposite side and try running down, but her attacker was certainly faster than her and would not allow her that option. The best she could do was go up, try to get around her and hurry out. Thus, she made a break for it, running with all her strength. She didnât look back to the cat, but the slow steps she heard behind her were definitely ones with no hurry or stress.
She turned the corner and aimed for the next floor. She looked back to see if she was pursuing her only to see she wasnât there. She jumped when the sound of a car horn blasted. She turned back to barely dodge the coming car coming down. And the asshole didnât even stop looking out his window to complain at her! Ridiculous, utterly ridiculous!Â
As soon as the driver got back in his seat he was met with the cat on Chloeâs trail⊠and her foot planted directly on their bumper stopping the car in its place. As soon as the driver gained his bearings he was with a blank death glare from the girl in front of them as she motioned the blade they just noticed in her hand to their door. He got the message and immediately got out the car and bolted not wanting to be anywhere near here. As soon as they were gone, the cat smiled as she reached down towards the bottom bumper of the car with one hand. Then shoutedâŠ.
âHEADS UP!â Hearing that Chloe looked back in complete shock at the car currently flying right at her! Without hesitation she leaped out of the way. The car clipped the railings at the top then fell all the way to the bottom. After that, one thing was clear: she needed to run faster! Not missing a beat she ran as fast as she could and turned the corner to the next platform.
It took a minute, but the cat finally made it to the platform. She looked out at the parking lot. There were some cars here and there but not full. She walked through the parking lot, her blade in each hand as she boredly walked around the lot each corner observing for the hint Bourgeois. Suddenly, her ears perked up. With a swivel of her heel she walked in a direction with purpose. Each step echoed throughout until they stopped right in front of a random car. One lined up next to a few others. She slightly lifts her foot.
With a swift kick she knocked the car skyward ending with it landing on its back. Her expression didn't change, fully aware she wasnât there, and she then walked straight to the next car. Again standing in front.
She kicked the next car on to its back. And iummediately to the next one.
This time, the kick knocked the car all the way to the other side of the lot.Â
Finally, she was at the last car in the row. However this time, she looked down as she lifted her blades up from over her head. Aiming at a specific point of this car. She leaned down and spoke in a shushed whisperâŠ
âThis is the part, where you move~â
Before the blade comes down a yellow blur rolls out from under the car as the blades pierce the car like butter. The cat girl turns her head amused as her tail swifts side to side as Chloe immediately gets to her feet and attempts to run again. She at first tried to run back where she entered, but the sudden slice of the blade in front of her made it clear that wasnât happening. She instead turned to try and weave around the cars available. And as she ran, her assailant was right on her tail.
Every car ran around was knocked over, every leap kept her away from the tip of a blade. She kept dodging and weaving and whatever she could possibly do just to survive. Until she soon has nowhere left to run. And eventually, she found her back against the wall and nowhere else to go.
Through her repeated breathing she looked up to a smile and a glare. She read the girl's eyes. The cat girl had fun with the chase so far but she could tell she had gotten bored. This chase was about to be over.
The cat gave a dull yet sly smile as her blades dragged behind her. Every step is slow yet peppy. Until finally, she was directly in front of her.Â
Chloe made the motion to try and run again only to have a blade pierce the wall right next to her head. âAh ah ahâŠ.â she heard. âNone of that nowâŠâ
âImpressive~ ChloeâŠâ the cat girl said in a calm tone. â This was much more fun than I had thought it would be~. Just the best~!â the girlâs tail swayed side to side with sick enjoyment as a beaming smile was on her face.Â
Then, she stopped smiling as her tail fell limp.
âBut now I'm boredâŠ.â her tone turned monotone for the first time of their encounter. âSoooo~ I should probably get to why I have you here now.â
Chloe stuttered as she tried to get any word out from the depths of her chest, but the tip of a scissor blade barely touched the tip of her lip. As the cat girl gave her a shush.
âShhhhh~! No need for thatâŠ.âÂ
The blade slowly raised until it was above her headâŠ
âYouâll hear this message loud and clear~âÂ
-Â cut to the roofs of Paris, Cat Noire was leaping off each roof looking for any sign of Chloeâs Limousine. Finding Chloeâs driver tied up in an alley he knew he had to act fast. He told Nino he would go look to see if he could track the limo, and when he had the opportunity immediately transformed.Â
He kept looking though the streets trying to find any hint of the long limo, with what happened before there was no telling what would happen-
His thoughts were stopped with the sound of a crash further away. Not missing a beat he leaped towards the sound. It took a minute but he found the source.Â
What he found was a car park, with few cars crashed on the ground with few people crowded around the area. Whether it was an akuma or involving Chloe he had to look into it. As he circled the area he tried to contact Ladybug, but to no avail. She must have been busy.Â
Then, he noticed something in the corner of his eye. Looking down he saw a girl that seemed to be cosplaying as⊠himself? And in front of her wasâŠ.
There she was, on the ground curled up in front of the girl. The girl who was currently raising the blades in her hands towards her. No time to hesitate! He leaped forward, landing on the platform and closing the gap in seconds. The attackerâs ears perked, and her head immediately turned towards the sudden presence. She was too late to react as she was met with a swift swing of staff to her face. She grimaced as the blow hit with such force that it knocked her skyward. And then with her landing on the front window of a car in the lot. She landed with enough force that she slammed through the window and even denting further down on the car.Â
âOw.â was the only response she gave in a monotone tone.
âThere, a spot just for you.â Noir retorted. He then immediately turned to Chloe.
â you ok Chloe?â She didnât respond, still curled up and breathing slightly heavy. âItâs ok knight for the day will get you out of here.â he joked trying to lighten the mood. She still didnât respond. He then noticed something off with her. Her breathing seemed to be deeper than he thought. Almost like she was hyperventilating.
âChloe?â Cat noir went to lift her head up trying to get her attentionâŠ. And when he didâŠ. He understood what was wrong immediately.Â
Behind him, the sound of shattered glass and metal being moved as the cat girl rose up from the car. She piked up one of her scissor blades slamming the tip to the groundâŠ.. The tip coated in blood that seemed to magically be drying up to dustâŠ.. The same blood as the new scar forming on the left side of Chloeâs left eyeâŠâŠ.
