Sometimes I wonder if the death of official flash game sites lead to the online censorship mess the UK and US is currently in
Back in my day, Kids had plenty of websites hosted by famous kid companies(including the BBC and Disney) where they play games, create art, listen to videos and clips and even learn with parents having no worry of “harmful content” Then when apps came into the picture, it fell outta of favor until the death of flash. Kids suddenly had no sites completely for them. Yes there are app games but their goal is to completely squeeze all the money of their parent’s wallet. If the goverment/Ofcon were smart(and really did cared about the kids and what happens to them online), they could have focused on bringing back kids game sites(either try to convert any games they can or start from scratch) for them. Maybe even a way to play the sites on the go(wishful thinking as it may be). This could be a win-win for everyone, parents can leave their kids to play on these sites with no worry, Sites like BBC(Goverment approved) could get tons of new viewers and followers by kids watching their child friendly content, and it could inspire kids to get more involved(like construction and stem) and focus on their studying more
