Light would be lying if he said taking care of others came easily to him. Talking smoothly, acing exams - those he could do without thinking, but the act of looking out for someone else wasn't as intuitive.
But for you, he was willing to change that, to learn.
It was so foreign to him at first, the strange feeling he'd get in his chest when watching you try to reach a higher shelf. If it were anyone else, he'd probably just scoff and walk away, or watch from a distance as they struggled. Before he knew it though, he was already making his way over, closing in behind you to grab what you needed. Without thinking he silently handed it to you, trying his best to flash what he hoped was a reassuring smile. It felt strange, but the way his heart fluttered when you smiled back, was a strange he wouldn't mind getting used to.
