Check the horse market anyway. SSO has a habit of removing the visible model at the horse market but the breed will still show up in the breed list in the buying window if you look through it. I know a few of the removed breeds were there long after they were supposed to be removed (and may still be there)

Got thinking about it bc of that post about the astride jump but like. sso fans are so UNNECESSARILY petty. We truly don't appreciate enough that overall, SSO has some of the best, smoothest, and most realistic horse animations in... basically any video game ever. Some Zelda games and like... RDR2, maybe? (never actually played the game) come close, but I dare say not as extensively as SSO. We have so many different horses. They have so many gaits. At worst, they have a wonky animation or two that might peeve you when you ride them. At best, they feel amazing to ride around on and make racing a joy because you get to look at how beautiful and well made they are. And instead of focusing on this, the main point of discussion in the community always seems to be that horses are overpriced. I'm going to come in with a controversial point: the people that make these horses are artists. Making these horses is extremely skilled work. These horses are, in a reasonably conceivable way, art. I dare say it's a luxury that Star Riders get as many as we do for free.
