The most vivid picture that comes to mind is not the family I come home to everyday, nor is it the girl I spend many moons with. It is a lucid memory that has yet to happen, with great assurance I know it will come to fruition. A scenario I’ve run through my mind for as long as I can remember. It is the familiar feeling of a cold metal brushed against the top of my mouth. A therapeutic dream that calms my very soul. It chimes a bell into a dream I’ll be sure not to wake from.

Don’t let people get away with treating you poorly. Call them out. Be frank. Be assertive. People need to know when they’ve wronged you and that they can’t do it again.
