Sentence Starters {Intense Angst Edition}

Dipper was perfectly still as Mabel’s words soaked into his being, silent as he felt them turn to poison in his blood. This wasn’t happening, Mabel was making a fool of him again, he knew better than to fall for this cruel trick. She was doing this to prove some sort of point, instill in him yet again that if she was gone, he would be nothing. Dipper began to shake his head, his face a perfect mask of indifference as he took a deep breath.

“You’re a liar. You’re not dying.”

Mabel stills immediately, so quickly spurned by her brother. Her fingers wrapped around her rib cage, underneath the blue of the jacket, flex instinctively, holding the wound there tighter, feeling the pulsing of her own heart and the warmth of her blood. Her eyes flicker down to her jacket, seeing if there was any that soaked through. “I...” She exhales heavily, swallows down the slightest hint of blood and phlegm that tried to come up. “I suppose I am.” She turns to walk out of the room, maybe see if William had something for broken ribs piercing hearts.

She only meant to alert her brother.

Having William repeat those kinds of lyrics probably wasn’t the best thing for anyone’s mental health. She could practically see him whispering them in the dark when she was trying to sleep. Yeesh.
