spamton and the truman show parallels or something im too tired to explain

I'm not!!

Spamton and the Truman show are similar in the way that everyone in their lives were fake. In Truman's case, it's because of him being in a TV show all his life. Interestingly, Spamton has ties to a TV show, that he only got on due to higher power and fabrication from FRIEND/Gaster, which I think is really fascinating!

Spamton has 2 different ways to parellell this!

Spamton during his big shot era was loved and respected because of his big shot status, which was fabricated by FRIEND/Gaster. Once everything fell apart, all his connections turned to dust, much like what happens to Truman as the film progresses. Everyone shows themselves not to be reliable, to keep playing their own part, leaving him to his and hoping he'll figure something out. Spamton achieving NEO was a way to break free from this world of people only willing to play their own parts, to leave the dark world and become a lighter, much like Truman leaving the town to live a real and authentic life.

We know that Spamton knows about the prophecy, he knows that everything is written out and the prophecy must come to pass. He is stuck, knowing this, with people around him playing their parts as darkners and serving their purpose while Spamton desperately claws for freedom, for more than what the prophecy has carved. He even knows that the person he loves most in the world is going to die violently, he knows that Noelle is fated to do horrible things. Both in the normal and snowgrave route, he's trying to break the prophecy, much like Truman and his bid for freedom.
