Canceled Jungle Taitei Nintendo 64 Game Footage (1997)

This was originally announced at Space World 1996, the game had both Shigeru Miyamoto (creator of Mario and The Legend of Zelda series) and Makoto Tezuka (Osamu Tezuka’s son) working on it. According to Nintendo Power “The game is going to be an action adventure like Zelda, where you could explore a vast territory and encounter the various characters of the show.“. The game was canceled due to issues with Makoto Tezuka, he was asked by Nintendo to direct the game, but he was too busy with other projects at the time. He also didn’t have any experience with making video games.

The only footage online is 14 seconds long, and unfortunately, of very low quality.

if you like strawberry shortcake or care bears, please consider buying something from the original creator and designer, Muriel Fahrion! she NEVER got paid royalties for creating/designing strawberry shortcake and care bears to this day. huge franchises that have profited off her work for over 40 years.

she went through incredibly tough times as an artist and went into debt after her husband died. in 2019 she started being more public on social media about being the original creator of these iconic characters. despite everything, she still loves strawberry shortcake and spreads nothing but kindness and positivity on her instagram (everyday she always posts a daily video of her dancing in her kitchen :) she’s so full of joy) it would mean a lot if you supported her and bought something cute from her website!

Strawberry - The Digger 🍓 Strawberry is the best example of a good New Year‘s resolution: At Cowslip’s Warren, he was still a rather lazy rabbit & became a good digger in Watership Down and an important member for Bigwig‘s Owsla ☝🏻
