I've talked before about how it seems to me that C would be more feelings first sex later and H would be more sex first feelings later and the reason they fell for each other so in tandem is exactly because of this. Random thought of the day:

Suppose someone is time and time again observed to behave in a certain way in public towards the girlfriend they are nice to in private. That would definitely be an interesting situation to uphold on both their parts, no? Perhaps that behavior doesn't need to be romanticized and instead taken as genuine representation of someone's real feelings.

Another random thought of the day:

Said behavior was explained away as protecting someone who wishes to remain private and is awkward in public. Basically we were told that ignoring and/or distancing yourself from said someone is the purest expression of love, and it is wrong to expect anything otherwise. Now please, make this beautiful contradiction make sense today.

Final random thought of the day:

Using one's eyes to see what is happening instead of what is being told to be seen is called observation and discernment. Shipping is hoping (!) that those things mean what we want them to mean, but it does not change the things we see happen without being shown. (Delusion is flat-out refusing to accept that something is real just because it does not match our wishes, but that is another discussion.) Since we don't like to imagine we could be treated like we're blind by the people we adore, we tend to question our own eyes instead. Perhaps we shouldn't.
