The first part of Royal Wedding Quest! is out for Patreons!
I set things up so my patreons will get the game in early access. That means anytime I finish another part of the story, patreons get to enjoy it as soon as it’s out instead of having to wait like others.
For as little as 1$/month, you can enjoy the game before anyone else and support me, so I might be able to afford good voice actors instead of leaving the game unvoiced. You also get to enjoy exclusive content such as a few tutorials, illustrations or simply articles on my experience making otome games.
Giving more will unlock different rewards, such as access to the official discord, some custom art, the game guide/artbook, or, for the highest tiers- a chance to design your own MC to implement in game.
The game currently features the common route with a small story arc involving each of the romances currently available; Astrill, Yuriko, Daniel and Ariavik all have a first arc that can solidify your relationship with them and go from simple travel companions to a friendship of sort.
When running a part of the program that checks the code for mistakes, I get a note telling me how many words are in the game; to quote it “The game contains 2,347 dialogue blocks, containing 59,995 words”. When play testing it I had around 1h30 of playtime.
In its current state, most of the feature I want implemented are at least present and showing in game, even if everything isn’t working 100% yet; the text is still being edited so subject to changes (for the better; I’m ESL, so I do freely admit I make mistakes. It’s slowly being worked on!). I have tested it thoroughly so there shouldn’t be any bugs, though if anything arises a corrected version should take at most a week to come out. Right now the mac version hasn’t been tested so it’s only available on PC, though the mac version should come out as soon as I’m sure it works properly- give it a few days.
I’d put its rating at something like 13+; It contains some violence and talks of sexual nature, though no downright smut or pictures of said violence. Character death also is present for people who may be sensitive to that.
That should be it! I’m still going to publish a more detailed progress log on friday like usual, but this version being out deserved its own announcement :) Thanks a lot for the support!
