@lunarcassiopeia made some fanart of the game, thanks!
Updates wise; I’m still working on writing the next part of the game but it took me some time due to a pretty nasty cold that lasted forever. I hope to release a new update for patreons sometimes in January :)

Hello! Not a lot done this week since I'm gearing up for nano- writing an additional 50000 words should put me much closer to finishing the game :)
Done this week:
Patreon rewards
To do next:
Add more sprites
Start writing for nano
Royal wedding Quest! is a fantasy otome/dating sim game where your character goes on a quest to find a husband and claim the throne of her country.
Hello everyone!
I'm proud to announce that thanks to my patreons, I managed to get the game on steam.
Which is why I'd really like to thank all of them for their continued support; without them it wouldn't have been possible.
I've been working on this for a while now, without talking about it. Steam asks for a lot of steps and verifications before letting a game on their store; I didn't want to mention it without being 100% sure it would be happening.
Since the game is still in development, the Steam store page only offers the demo for now; it's the same as the one offered on itch.io, so no big changes game content wise. For now I'll keep on focusing on finishing the game.
There will not be any additional content to the demo; I may update it as I edit my mistakes, but it should be more or less the final version as it is now. Patreons still get early access versions and will continue to get them until the game release; if you played the demo and can't wait to see more, I'd recommend joining them :)

Hello everyone!
As promised I’m resuming my weekly updates.
Done this week:
Editing (mostly correcting small mistakes or typos)
Debugging the early access version
Worked on rewards for patreons
added more to my game guide (not ready yet)
To do next week/soon:
Make more patreon rewards
Add more expression to new sprites
Start on the next part of the game
As a small additional note, we now have a discord, if anyone would like to join in for more frequent updates, to ask questions or simply to enjoy a nice community :)
The demo to an upcoming fantasy otome game.
Hello everyone!
Sorry for the month of absence; I had a lot to do during that time :)
I’m coming back to tumblr with something nice though; the extended free demo is now available!
When previously you could play up to the end of the introduction, you now can play the first part of the game! That means you can see the main route and the beginning of 4/7 romances :) Your MC gets to face her first trials and gets to know her companions better in this demo!
Do you want more? Well good news; patreons get to see the first few neutral/good endings as well as much more romance :) Plus if you chose to become a patreon, you chose to support me and help further develop the game ;)
I hope you enjoy this! I’ll go back to weekly updates each fridays; if you’d like more frequent updates or a chance to ask questions directly, consider joining the discord group!

As a giant terrifying monster of a spider decided to take residence on my desk I regretfully have to announce I cannot continue developpment,I need to burn my whole house down- Okay just kidding, the giant hairy spider situation is under control. Plus I wouldn’t seriously stop developpment over a spider- my work is saved elsewhere so I could soldier on.
More seriously, I’m now reaching a part of the game writing wise where the first good/neutral endings happen, so cheers to that :) I’m hoping to be able to release the game before the end of 2018 and it’s looking more and more likely!
Done this week:
Finished the in-between scenes, started on Astrill’s next story arc(~9000 words)
To do next week:
Continue writing pretty much!
Edit some more BG (Thanks for the pictures papa :) )

Free Demo | Latest Early Access version | Ko-fi
I apologise for the lack of update last week; I’ve been hard at work and struggling with the heatwave, so I plain forgot to post. I did make good progress though :)
I’m currently trying to write as much as I possibly can in a nanowrimo like self-imposed challenge this month, so I can hopefully be done with the game as soon as possible!
If all goes well, by the end of the month I should be able to release the longer demo to the public for free and have a much longer early access version with the first real endings implemented (and not just the “whoops you died” ones ;) )
Done this week:
Finished rewriting Ariavik’s scenes
Started writing the next story arc (~7000 words)
made a website for the studio
To do next week:
Continue writing the next story arc
reorganise the affection system

I started working on the next part of the game this week :) Most planning for the next arc is done, including the first few “neutral” endings! They’re admittedly close to what you’d expect in a good ending, but since the MC can do much better, it’s not considered one ;)
Done this week:
Finished planning the next story arc
Rewrote some of Ariavik’s scene (~850 words) to add more MC variety
Started working on a patreon’s reward (designing their own cameo sprite)
To do next week:
Finish rewriting Ariavik’s scenes
Start writing the next arc
reorganise the affection system to make it easier for me later on
Special dogsisstant announcement: "Doing me a heckin confuse?" More seriously: I said I'd add a special football scene if we won. We did. So expect a small bonus game/scene involving football :)

First of all I'd like to wish a happy 14 Juillet to my fellow frogs!
I've been working mostly on behind the scenes stuff in the past two weeks, so I don't have impressive work to show off sadly. I also took the opportunity for a small break after releasing the early access.
Done:
-started on the game guide's design (2 pages done)
-Organised my plot so I can start writing the next part of the game
-A lot of advertising
To do next week:
-rewrite Ariavik's scenes a little to better represent the various MCs
-start writing the next part
-work on my patreon rewards
-write some more of my ask meme answers since I paused that to work on the game
Quick art to support the team :)
01/07/18 progress log
I ended up moving the progress log back a few days due to needing a bit of time to rest after all the hard work I put in to release the early access :)
Done this week:
Finished the common route CG
Finished implementing everything in game
Published the early access
took a small break ;)
To do:
Correct any bugs/mistakes that might crop up
start reworking a few plot points I’m not satisfied with anymore
start working on the next story arc
Answer all the backlog of the ask meme (I didn’t forget you! I’m getting to it this week :) )
The first part of Royal Wedding Quest! is out for Patreons!
ON PATREON:
I set things up so my patreons will get the game in early access. That means anytime I finish another part of the story, patreons get to enjoy it as soon as it’s out instead of having to wait like others.
For as little as 1$/month, you can enjoy the game before anyone else and support me, so I might be able to afford good voice actors instead of leaving the game unvoiced. You also get to enjoy exclusive content such as a few tutorials, illustrations or simply articles on my experience making otome games.
Giving more will unlock different rewards, such as access to the official discord, some custom art, the game guide/artbook, or, for the highest tiers- a chance to design your own MC to implement in game.
ON THE GAME ITSELF:
The game currently features the common route with a small story arc involving each of the romances currently available; Astrill, Yuriko, Daniel and Ariavik all have a first arc that can solidify your relationship with them and go from simple travel companions to a friendship of sort.
When running a part of the program that checks the code for mistakes, I get a note telling me how many words are in the game; to quote it “The game contains 2,347 dialogue blocks, containing 59,995 words”. When play testing it I had around 1h30 of playtime.
In its current state, most of the feature I want implemented are at least present and showing in game, even if everything isn’t working 100% yet; the text is still being edited so subject to changes (for the better; I’m ESL, so I do freely admit I make mistakes. It’s slowly being worked on!). I have tested it thoroughly so there shouldn’t be any bugs, though if anything arises a corrected version should take at most a week to come out. Right now the mac version hasn’t been tested so it’s only available on PC, though the mac version should come out as soon as I’m sure it works properly- give it a few days.
I’d put its rating at something like 13+; It contains some violence and talks of sexual nature, though no downright smut or pictures of said violence. Character death also is present for people who may be sensitive to that.
That should be it! I’m still going to publish a more detailed progress log on friday like usual, but this version being out deserved its own announcement :) Thanks a lot for the support!

Because of the results on my poll when posted on the otome amino, my paid demo idea is going to get scraped; instead I’ll be going for an early access for patreons model :) More details will be revealed on the release date, which, if all goes well, should be in six days(28/06) for patreons!
Done this week:
Finished Ariavik’s first CG
Started a common route CG
Finished writing Ariavik’s first scenes (~1200 words)
Finished writing the common route scenes for this chapter (~1100 words)
To Do:
Finish the common route CG
Implement everything in game
Hello everyone! If you follow my tumblr for updates, you'll know I'm going to publish a longer demo very soon; since I didn't go down the crowdfunding route, my funds for the game are limited. My idea was to make my demo a paid one; for a very small fee you get to enjoy ~20000 words of content, which includes the "common" route/the very first part of 4/7 romance routes. The funds gathered that way would allow me to potentially hire voice actors for the final version. However I'd like to know if my idea is a good one- or more importantly, just how much people would be willing to pay for one. Alternatively I could do early access; you pay a smaller fee now for an incomplete game but it gets updated regularly until you get the finished product. Every update the game increases in price until it reaches its final price- meaning getting the game as an incomplete product is a good investment for you in the long run. If you have suggestions or questions or want to expand on your answer(please do so!), Feel free to message me or comment or anything of the like, I'd love more detailed feedback or better ideas :) Thanks!

Getting fanart got me all pumped up so I worked extra hard this week :)
Done:
Started on a CG (lineart done, just need some colors/Shading now :) )
Paperwork (having your own business to make video games is actually a big chore-)
Wrote more of Ariavik’s scenes (~1500 words)
To do:
Same old “finish that paid demo!!”
