Bryan has been sitting in trees again, drawing inspiration from the sound of wind in the leaves. But this behaviour is getting in the way of recording the new album, so Matt took matters into his own hands and cut all the branches off.

He’ll plant a new tree for Bryan when the album is done.

The Mayor of Tekodongo, a city in Burkina Faso, is a big fan of The National. Bored of seeing Aaron in his triangle t-shirt, and suspecting he just doesn't get much time to go shopping, the mayor sent him a large suit case filled with garments from the country's leading designers.
