Piles of Light. Spun glass.
“Catching Breath” is one of my two thesis shows, featuring a live performance with the Instruments of Connection and Compromise. . The show was postponed, but I was lucky to get the chance to quickly install and take photos just days before school closed. Gallery photos by @sweater.boy. This work has changed a lot in the age of COVID. (The photos of us playing are pre-pandemic.) This show examines vulnerability through the theme of breath. Connected Breath Quartet. This work has taken on a completely new meaning over the past few weeks. The series is about people uniting through shared breath, an act which is now forbidden and seems almost taboo. Breath is revealed to be a gift.
