Could you maybe do some sort of short tutorial/show off a couple of ridgeback hands and feet? I cannot for the life of me seem to get them right :v
hey sorry for the late reply; i tried to find a sensible way of making a tutorial about this but that didn’t really work out so i just ended up doing some random hands and feet. Sorry it’s a bit messy and inconsistent (especially the hands), I’m a bit busy lately orz
The ridgeback hands/feet i draw are pretty much just generic dragon hands/feet with the added big claw :’’D Also I’m not really that good with hands so my apologies that there are not more coherent sketches of those. I usually just reference my own hand when drawing them so maybe try that and see if it helps at all. I found that it kinda helped me with the thumb placement.
I’m also a very inconsistent artist in general so I change my methods and the way the feet/hands look often depends a lot on the character’s general body build; a heavy, muscular dragon is gonna have stocky, strong looking paws and legs. The ones I drew here are pretty damn dainty and weak looking so I’d guess they belong to an artisan of some kind (；-◞౪◟-)
