WELCOME TO COMICS WORLD ! Today marks the beginning of officially posting my webcomic, SO BELOW! Currently to be uploaded weekly on Comicfury, scheduled for 1:00pm Central Time every Saturday, - and reposted in small batches every couple weeks over on my webcomic sideblog @rgbelow !

i wanted to make a little artfight goal sheet for everyone to use :'] i tried to keep it as beginner friendly as i could!

DO YOU BUCKLE UNDER PRESSURE?

It's finally happening. SO BELOW Chapter One will begin updating by the weekend of July 4th. Pages will be posted both to this blog as well as to SO BELOW's own comicfury site! Hooray!

The optimistic schedule is weekly page releases. The realistic schedule is bi-weekly. I'm only slightly more aware of what the timeline will look like than you are, so you'll have to forgive me if it doesn't all line up immediately.

If you like women who look kind of weird and do cool stuff, dissections of the concept of found family, interpersonal solidarity, and forgiveness, or if you're just a fan of arcade bowling style black-light colors, you should give this little story a glance :--] There's plenty of supplementary art on my blog in the meantime while we await real pages.

i genuinely mean it so much . i wish i had the time of day to sit down and comb through the art made by the people that are around me and give them their due diligence because you are all making so many cool things and putting so much work into it . i will leave my comments and be so so so loud and read too much into things when i finally get the time because you deserve it. you deserve to have your work looked at like it spent months or years to create and not just like it can be read through in an hour or passed by in one swipe. everyone please comment on each others art. please point out the background details and the dialogue and the expressions that make you smile. please. there is so much love in there.

the trick about getting invested and confident in ur own concepts is to surround urself with other likeminded artists who are down to earth. i know nowadays especially people think "indie" and they think undertale or glitch pilots and they have paved the way for great things but i mean like. engage with your friends comics theyve been posting to an audience of 20-30 people. The people who are genuinely at your level with you. Who are working on their projects on the side because they still have a full time job to attend to. who go on long hiatuses because theyre in college and are crunching for tests at the moment.

maybe one day youll have all the resources you want to create your stories exactly how you imagine it at the speed you want it to be done, but until you get there you'll find so many people working with the same resources and available time that you have, and its about that network of small artists being able to support each other that can light a spark that you thought you needed an audience of hundreds to light.
