At this point I’m convinced that not only did Din know nothing about the Star Wars Universe and it’s history at the start of the series, he STILL knows nothing. He’s meeting all these important figures, crossing paths with these big plans ad remnants of history, and hearing allusions dropped to all these things that happened or will happen. And I think he’s tuned out most of it.

Like when Bo-Katan told Boba ‘You’re a clone. I’ve heard your voice thousands of times.” Not only do I think Din failed to make any sort of connection between that statement and the Clone Wars, I also think it didn’t pique his curiosity at all. He just thought to himself “Clones are a real thing?” and then stopped paying attention except just enough to make sure Boba and Bo-Katan didn’t kill each other.

After the end of the second season I’m pretty sure if you asked Din “What are the jedi” he would stand totally still and stare and then say “…I’m pretty sure it’s not a species or race.” And then just be at a loss to provide more information.

Din doesn’t know what’s going on. Din doesn’t want to know what’s going on.

I've been thinking about this for a while, but Adachi and Kurosawa from Cherry Magic remind me of Ash and Eiji from Banana Fish. Of course, the circumstances and the whole context from both stories differ a lot, but the very essence of their relationships is the same - Adachi (who is played by Eiji Akaso, so we have two Eijis over here haha) and Eiji are the only persons to see right through Kurosawa and Ash, way beyond their facade and sense their pain. Which is why both Ash and Kurosawa love Eiji and Adachi, respectively, so much.

After all, we all want someone who loves us for who we truly are, someone who understands us and accepts the real us. These characters, even though they've got such different personalities and life circumstances, built relationships based on mutual trust, love, acceptance and respect. These are the healthy and wholesome relationships we should see more of in the media!

Writing absolutely was easier when you were younger simply because you knew less of the craft. The more you learn increases the pressure to live up to your own knowledge base. You can see flaws in your work that you (probably) weren’t aware of before and this gives the false impression of creative back-sliding. This can be extremely discouraging and you may long for those early days when writing seemed so much easier. But that longing is rooted in a lie. Ignorance truly is bliss. So take pride in the fact that your struggles are the byproduct of improving your craft. Your work is not as bad as you think, you simply have a much stronger magnifying glass than you used to so the flaws seem bigger than they truly are.
