At this point cardan just gave up and started doing what he does best: writing Jude’s name in an angry, passionate and grieving fashion. This is called the, “ I give up you win” letter.
I HOPE I WASN’T THE ONLY ONE WHO THOUGHT THAT OAK WAS GONNA PULL OUT A PREGNANCY TEST FROM THE BAG. I swear, as soon as i read the part about a Walgreens bag i knew that something was about to be revealed about Jude. In this part Oak says that he hopes he isn’t the reason that jude is not having kids, and even if he isn’t, he feels like he’s in the mix. (Shocked) Oak really wants them to have children, and so far it looks like cardan would be a great father. When this book comes out we will find out what decisions Jude and Cardan have made about that. If they don’t have kids, i’m fine with that, and if they do have kids i’m also fine with that.
Oh yea cardan is very suspicious of Oak, and he has good reasons. And the part about jurdan forgiving Hyacinthe for almost murdering Cardan? I’m surprised he wasn’t executed yet.
Jude blames herself for not executing Lady more when she had the chance, now imagine how she feels about wren now that she had Oak imprisoned? Jude will have absolutely NO MERCY on anyone that crosses her path in this book. She thinks she made huge mistake letting lady nore live and she won’t make that mistake again. Jude will definitely come to the citadel to kill Wren, holy crap.
Cardan bringing up the snake AGAIN, like man your wife is TRAUMATIZED. and it’s shows.
the snake could’ve been a huge impact to her decision making in the end of TQON. She exiled Madoc, made lady nore swear fealty to wren, and abolished wrens tittle of queen (letting her go free without punishment) Maybe getting Cardan back made her feel the need to be merciful to others.
(SCREAMING) You’re honor, I love them. Cardan is literally the best book love interest, you cannot change my mind on that.
we were FOOLED, the first quote was a snippet that was revealed by hotkeybooks on tik tok, and i thought it was directed at OAK. But the fact that it was actually for JUDE makes it even better.

So madoc has been in contact with the former falcon? as in he’s been speaking to Hyacinthe? Could that mean that madoc ordered him to murder the high king? Oak mentions that if he were truly responsible that he would cut hyacinthe’s throat himself. So Oak doesn’t know why he attempted to murder Cardan..HMMMM. There’s so much we don’t know
So this is what made Oak set off to his journey. And now we know why Oak feels that Cardan might hates him. We know that for now.

I have a theory about why Jacks's heart started beating in Legendary.
In that book, when Tella told Dante/Legend that she was going to die because of Jacks's kiss unless she gave him the cards (in ouabh we find out that it wasn't true because Jacks slowed her heart so that she wouldn't die immediately), he said Legend would heal her once she won the game because his powers come from the same origin as Jacks's. But at that moment, Tella didn't know Dante was Legend so maybe he used his powers to make Jacks's heart beat again or something so that she wouldn't die earlier than he told her he would. What I'm trying to say is, if Legend could use his powers to bring Tella back to life at the end of Caraval after Scarlett used her wish to ask for that, it would make sense that he also has the power to break Jacks's curse on his kiss (or maybe create the illusion that Tella is Jacks's true love since that's his specialty). We also never get any sort of confirmation on whether Jacks has kissed anyone since his heart started beating (apart from that failed attempt in tbona).
Do you think it makes sense?
I certainly think that Legend had a hand in saving Tella. After Tella was nearly killed by the Unwed Brides and her Handmaidens, Legend found her on time and saved her by giving her his blood.
This blood made her feel stronger. This is from Chapter 26 in Legendary.
...she enjoyed the way it tasted, like power and strength and something fierce enough to make her heart race.
Then a page later on chapter 27.
She should have awoken to a world of pain, to a screaming wrist, a swollen face, and battered feet. Instead her body felt whole and rested, and her heart was beating stronger than it had the night before.
I believe that after this that Tella no longer felt the effects of Jacks's deadly kiss. Legend's blood had cured her, saved her.
Leading Tella to believe that she is Jacks's true love and Jacks to believe that as well.
I could see Legend manipulating his way to make Tella seem like she's Jacks's true love, but I believe this makes it harder for Legend since he loves Tella. It only will create more problems between them.

IT’S FINALLY AIRED!!! AFTER ALL THESE YEARS!!!
For some context, this post is being made a few hours before Ephemeral so I can queue it for it’s release (since i’m going to sleep lmao), but wow... after 7 freaking years invested in this show, it’s finally reached it’s 100th episode! Here’s to 100 episodes that have been there with me from middle school to college, and to a show that, despite It’s clownery, means the absolute world to me, and of course here’s also to 3 years of me countdown these episodes!
Anyhow, enough with the emotions... on with the important stuff!
