it’s so nice to see an action shot of a lift kick like this in which the dancer actually has good form. praise

Um that spin...what....
Alex Collins, one of the NFL’s top running back prospects, has found a unique edge to perfect his footwork: Irish dance. The MMQB high-stepped into his world of trebles, clicks, and diddly-toes
This makes me happy
Clearly enjoying life on the world stage 💫💫🌏🌏
Love your dress!!
Her toe....she's on her toe.....Marisa Wick-Joseph, WRO 2014 champion
That spin!! So elegant - Mackenzie Cross, U18 WCR 2014 Champion
can anyone help me, I started dancing when I was 17, and have been dancing for about 7 months now, and the one thing I have trouble with is timing and hearing the beats in the music. I literally have no idea what to look for or what I am listening to. I’ve tried listening to reels, and jigs, even hornpipe and treble jig and something isn’t connecting. What do I look for? When do I start dancing? I know “wait 8” but I can’t hear when “8” is. I’m in need of some help friends.
Honestly, I didn't even understand what my teacher was talking about in regards to different beats and rhythms, and I was really confused about how their could be differences between reels and slip jigs and hornpipes and such - to me, they all sounded the same. It didn't really click for me until I'd been dancing for about 2-3 years, so don't feel dumb. I don't think it's really something that can be explained. Just the repetition of dancing and counting and and listening to the music eventually made it click for me but it did take awhile.
Of the many cultural and artistic treasures to come from the Emerald Isle, one of the most beloved is the art of step dancing. From the moment “Riverdance” began playing to packed houses, young dancers around the world have taken up this infectious, ancient Irish tradition. Correspondent Margaret Brennan - a former step dancer herself - puts on her dancing shoes and joins the fun.
Just because I've never seen this posted before. Great video to show people who don't know what irish dance is!

Love the choreography!
Holy shit
I'm done.
I think we should start an online petition to get the worlds televised, everything else gets coverage why not the worlds there’s a big enough audience for it
Honestly, we can do better than 167 notes. Dude.
Would love to see this happen one day 😍🙌
Why did you choose WIDA over CLRG?
My school is registered with WIDA. We were originally with NAIDF, but when they merged with WIDA we changed too. I've never competed with CLRG, and now that I'm 21, I don't see any reason to switch. I really like how welcoming Open Platform organizations are and how there don't seem to be as many politics like people complain about with CLRG. I don't have anything against CLRG, but I'm perfectly happy with WIDA
Are you with WIDA or CLRG?
My school is registered with WIDA but I compete at both WIDA and RTN feises
Unpopular opinion:
I just really don't care for the newest Celtic Star dresses.....I'm all for innovation but can we please go back to putting designs and colors together that actually make sense? I use to be dazzled by the beauty of Celtic Star's uniqueness...now I'm just really confused when I see a new dress....Celtic Star designers are so incredibly talented; I just wonder if they are now compromising beauty for the sake of shock value? I of course mean no offense to the owners of theses dresses. This is merely my opinion about Celtic Star as a whole.
