I know lots of people are going to die in the final phase of THR, but I swear, if Avar and Elzar don’t get some sort of happy ending after they gave us a beautiful love story I’m gonna hdidnsbzickfd.

What I loved about the beginning of Phase III was the multitude of parallels one could find on Avar and Elzar, and their distance, which was not really a distance. But rather something that rekindled the need for closeness.

The need of Avar to not be alone in the fight, and the need of Elzar to not leave her alone:

The need to know that they are still worthwhile in the eyes of the other, despite the mistake:

The need to be again as close as possible, as only two being can be:

They are the reason for why they still fight, surviving into the dark of the Galaxy, despite being alone. But they never been so close as now.

“That was the big design choice with Kylo: losing the mask. It was a little terrifying because, by the time we were making the movie, the first film had come out and every kid was wearing Kylo Ren masks on Halloween. It was the symbol of the movie on packaging. And I love the helmet. But the whole premise of this film is that you’re getting inside this guy a bit more. More than that, Rey is seeing there’s more to him than she though. And Adam Driver is one of my favorite actors working today. The whole new trilogy deserved a better finale than TROS

I don't care what you think about TLJ, but that movie was the perfect doorway to an epic end and it deserved a better sequel

Star Wars and every story within deserves a better epic finale than TROS

The Skywalker story deserved a better ending than TROS

The more it comes up the more disappointing it is. And it's not that it's frustrating to be let down by supposed master storytellers and artists, it's just actually flat out sad that TROS isn't memorable/different/epic/satisfying/endearing/etc. as a whole- because that's not what Star Wars is or has ever been!

Anyways.

May Adam Driver portray another fantasy character one day, because I miss him in this universe. With no proper goodbye or hopeful thought of meeting again- I also miss Star Wars and the Skywalkers.

Last thing-

I will ALWAYS be salty about Rey's outfits and hair in TROS. The freak. LET HER HAIR DOWN, BUY HER SOME NEW CLOTHES YOU LAZY AWFUL BOORISH MAN COWARDS WITH YOUR HIDDEN AGENDAS! Ugh.
