Idk if anyone asked you this already, but do you have any hopes, predictions or speculations about what will happen in the 4th upcoming Madoka movie?
I'm not that into trying to predict the plot, but what I've been hoping for ever since the movie was first announced that it will have an ending that meaningfully furthers the plot (or completely concludes it) instead of leaving things open for another cycle.
The spin offs have shown us so many variations of Homura's 30 day time loop that honestly I'm starting to get quite fed up with that. So I'd like if we got something wholly different this time and didn't have to spend a lot of time on the usual Sayaka-Kyousuke drama, or if Mami will have a breakdown upon learning The Truth this time around, and so on.
However more importantly I'm a little concerned about the bigger picture. The anime ended with Madoka rewriting the universe, and Rebellion ended with Homura rewriting the universe. If the new movie will end with someone rewriting the universe yet again to me it starts to feel like nothing is going to matter when someone can just undo everything in a new installment.
Honestly in general the main story of Madoka ends up in such a cosmic scale that I find it somewhat difficult to expand the franchise. I've had enough of Homura time loop variants, and spin offs about other characters always feel subservient to the main story, like it's hard to come up with a conclusion when you know Madoka is going to eventually change everything. And any sequels have the above issue with rewriting the universe; the stakes are so high that I figure the ending has to be on a cosmic scale, but then we're one step closer to a duck season - rabbit season - duck season type situation. So while I'll always be back for more Madoka content because of course I will, I would also be quite ready for "Madoka is done, here is a new magical girl story from people who worked on it!"
For a more realistic wish, I hope the mahous we've seen in the pre-release material aren't the only new ones, and that there will be other new magical girls or henshin looks for the existing ones.
