Does it matter if some queer people do _____? Does it cause any actual, measurable, material harm? Is this *actually* a problem? Be specific. Beyond just 'it makes me uncomfortable' and 'but that doesn't make sense' - does it actually *matter*?
Because if the answer is no, then who the fuck cares?
I don't care if something is confusing, or illogical, or weird, or makes you uncomfortable. Does it actually harm anyone? No? Then mind your fucking business.
Its not your responsibility to Lincoln-Douglass debate every overzealous puritan and under-informed tween on the complex nuance and inherent political context of the queer experience. Focus on what matters . Ask them what, if any, harm does ____ actually do, and THAT is all you need to address. (Oh you wanna defend ___ spaces? Which spaces specifically? What are you worried about happening? Oh is ____ normalizing ____? Does it? Does that...matter?)
Because even if other people dont like it, Queer People will continue to be weird, messy, confusing, contradictory, illogical, and strange as we all do our fucking best to be ourselves as best we can be. The way we survive and grow and thrive is by giving each other the grace and space to do so, whether or not we deeply, logically resonate with whatever others have going on.
And we don't talk shit about each other. We don't take pot shots at the queers who are queerer than we are. Throwing other queer people under the bus has never made things better.
So. Circle the wagons, close the ranks, and get comfortable rubbing elbows with people who are, you know, freaks and weirdos.
Also, guys, you don't make a delulu realize they are a delulu by insulting them, claiming a bunch of shit you don't actually know about, telling them they are insane and to go to therapy or see a doctor. And I am saying that by experience. Yes, reality checks are necessary, cruelty isn't. She got the idea for the study while walking with her advisor at Stanford to discuss her thesis topic, and the paper she eventually published in the Journal of Experimental Psychology in 2014 is sharp enough that it should have ended the seated meeting on the day it came out.
She ran 4 experiments on 176 people. Same person tested twice. Once sitting, once walking. The creativity tasks were the standard ones psychologists have used for decades to measure how good a brain is at generating novel useful ideas.
81% of participants in the first experiment produced more creative ideas while walking than while sitting. In the second experiment, 88%. In the third, 100%. Every single person walked into a more creative version of themselves. On average, people generated 60% more novel useful ideas the moment their legs started moving.
The skeptical question is the obvious one. Maybe it was the fresh air. Maybe it was the scenery passing by. Maybe it was the change of environment doing the work, not the walking itself.
Oppezzo killed every one of those explanations with one experimental decision. She put people on a treadmill facing a blank wall. No scenery. No fresh air. No environmental change. Just legs moving in place while staring at white drywall. The 60% boost held.
Then she ran the experiment that closed the case completely. She took participants outside in two conditions. Half of them walked through a Stanford courtyard. The other half were pushed through the exact same courtyard in a wheelchair. Same outdoor stimulation. Same scenery passing at the same speed. The only difference was whether the legs were moving.
The walkers produced dramatically more novel high-quality ideas than the wheelchair group. The outdoors did almost nothing on its own. The walking did everything.
She also tested the opposite kind of thinking. Convergent thinking. The kind where there is one right answer and you have to narrow down to it. Word puzzles where 3 words share a hidden fourth word that connects them. The seated participants did slightly better on these. Walkers got slightly worse.
Walking is not a general intelligence enhancer. It does one specific thing. It opens up the divergent search inside your brain. The part that generates options. The part that produces unexpected connections. The part that takes a problem and finds five ways into it instead of one.
When you need to converge on the single right answer, sit down. When you need to find the answer in the first place, get up.
The mechanism is now well understood. Walking selectively activates what neuroscientists call the default mode network, the system inside your brain that runs when you are not consciously focused on anything. The DMN is where mind-wandering happens. Where memories cross-reference each other. Where ideas that have been sitting in separate folders inside your head finally bump into each other.
When you sit at a desk and force yourself to concentrate, you suppress the DMN. When you walk at a natural pace, the executive part of your brain gets just busy enough handling the walking that the DMN comes online and starts doing the work that focus was blocking.
The most useful finding in the entire paper is the one almost nobody quotes. The boost did not turn off the moment people stopped walking. Participants who walked first and then sat back down stayed elevated. Their next round of seated creativity work was still significantly better than people who had been sitting the whole time. The rest lingered for at least several minutes after the legs stopped moving.
You do not need to do creative work while walking. You need to walk before the creative work. The brain holds the state.

Chicken Wire A-Frame
Best for peas
How to make a chicken wire A-frame trellis:
Create two frames with long legs out of untreated cedar.
Staple chicken wire onto the frame.
Use hinges to attach two frames together at the top.
This construction allows flexibility of width in the garden and flat winter storage. This is a good trellis for peas, shorter pole beans, and vining flowers.
Bamboo and Twine
Best for beans and sturdy climbing vines
Bamboo stakes are incredibly useful around the garden, and trellis systems of all types can be made with a handful of stakes and twine.
How to build trellises with bamboo two ways:
Teepee: Create a teepee by installing several stakes in a circle, then tying the tops together with twine (pictured above, right).
Trellis wall: Make a long wall by creating two lines of poles about a foot apart, and tying the tops together (pictured above, left). Place a stake perpendicularly on top of the poles to add stability.
Bamboo trellis systems work well with pole beans, runner beans, and other strongly twining climbers. Bamboo is not recommended for cowpeas and peas, as they have a more difficult time attaching to the smooth surface of the poles.
T-Posts and Twine
Best for Tomatoes
This trellising method is common at Heritage Farm and is an easy, cost-effective trellising method for home gardeners.
In place of T-posts, gardeners can use wooden stakes, PVC, or any other sturdy stake material.
We at SSE prefer to use either white box twine or baling twine, however gardeners can use any small string.
How to build a T-posts and twine trellis:
Install T-posts or other stakes into the ground on either sides of a row of tomato plants. For long rows, install multiple T-posts between plants for additional support.
Tie one end of twine around a T-post. Bring the line to the other end of the row, keeping the tomatoes along one side.
If their are multiple T-posts in the row, make a loop around each post, leaving the last T-post to tie.
Make sure all tomato plants are on the same side of the twine. Pull the twine tight to create tension.
Wrap the twine several times around the final T-post, then tie to secure.
Repeat these steps to add a line of twine on the other side of the row of tomatoes so that each plant is supported by a line on either side.
Prune tomato plants to remove any branches touching the soil and below the first set of fruit.
Adjust each plant so that its branches are above a line of twine. Make sure the heads of the plant are in between the lines of twine.
Repeat this process to add more rows of twine as the tomato plants continue to grow.
T-Posts and Hog Panel
Best for short, vining plants and tomatoes
An alternative to the T-post and twine method, Trellises of T-posts attached to hog wire panels are a common sight on the Seed Savers Exchange farm because of their ease of installation and versatility.
How to build a T-post and hog panel trellis:
Drive two T-posts per panel into the ground, and attach hog wire panels to the posts with zip ties or twine. Both T-posts and hog wire panels are available at farm supply stores.
Vining plants will climb, and non-vining plants can be tied to the panel with twine for support.
T-Post and Hog Panel Arch
Best for squash, gourds, and vigorous vining flowers
Building an arch trellis is not only practical, but also adds visual interest to your garden.
How to build a trellis arch:
Determine the width and length of the arch, and drive four t-posts into the ground at the four corners of the arch.
Place the short end of the hog panel against two of the t-posts.
Bend the panel until it reaches the other t-posts, forming an arch. Make sure the panel reaches the ground on both sides.
Secure the arch with zip ties, if needed.
T-Posts and Twine
Best for cucumbers and small melons
This experimental trellis system is used for displaying cucumbers and small melons.
How to build a display trellis for cucumbers and melons:
Install several t-posts in two rows , with the T-posts leaning outwards to create a V-shape.
Tie twine between each pair of T-posts to complete each line of the V.
Place plants where the T-posts converge.
As cucumbers and other vining plants grow, the fruits will hang on the opposite side of the V in a decorative manner.
Twine
Best for vining plants and flowers
Twine can be used throughout the garden to provide support for vining plants. At Seed Savers Exchange, we string twine between wooden posts in the ground and hooks on the eaves of the barn to allow support for climbing morning glories.

The Alchemical Journey of BTS : Part 1, The Primes of BTS

Hi and welcome to a possible new tarot series.
I got inspired by two major recent events: first, the disappearance of @bluemoonpunch. I loved their readings, I had the ability to save them on the internet archive for others who miss them, and i feel such regret at their departure, because I think they are one of the most skilled reader on this website and all of us could visibly benefit from their presence and their work. Second, was my discovery and first dive into alchemy. I have always been interested in Jungian principles, but diving into Hermetic magic and alchemist principles was a discovery for me, at the crux of my love for science and for spirituality. As such, I wanted to dive into how to read for someone's alchemist principles (salt, mercury and sulphur) and the ongoing processes going with them. This is my attempt at doing so. I will first do a reading on BTS as a group, then depending on how the reading turns out, will probably read on ARMYs, individual members and maybe extend it after to other groups and paid querents.
For this reading, I will use the Green Witch Oracle, the Green Witch Oracle Deck, The Modern Witch Tarot, the Light Seer Tarot, the Venice Witch Oracle and the Shadow Venice Witch Oracle.
Without further ado, Let's start.
The Salt/Body
This first part is about the current state of their material reality. It focuses on the Earth and Water elements.
Happiness - Marjoram, Pine Tree
Marjoram grows from mid-string to early autumn, and represents new beginnings in career, love or spirituality. It indicates radiance, excitement, good news and freedom. Pine trees are long-lasting, and even though you cut down one tree, the roots of multiple pines connect and a new one may grow where the old one was cut.
These cards show how much BTS are currently thirving after their winter, their "Chapter 2" which meant laying their activities to rest, some for a long time and some only for a season. It speaks of their profound transformation, of how their bond maintained despite the winter and the frost, and how much joy they get from being born again, together. They are not only celebrating, they are absolutely radiating joy, especially now that the weight of the military, and of the inner transformations that needed to happen within them finally did and left them much lighter, refreshed and ready to meet and tour again.
With the three of wands, they are looking forwards to what is next, eyes straight on the prize of their future together.
The Mercury/The Spirit.
This element bridges the sulphur and the salt, aka the body and the Soul. It represents the elements of Water and Air.
Tend, Affection - Sorrel, Victory -Nasturtium
The Tend card represents the necessity, and the freedom, to evaluate your life to see that serves or does not serve your garden. This card suggest BTS is currently in a purifying phase for their Spirit. They are currently reviewing their instinctual and unconscious processes and purging out what is rotten as well as cleansing what is living. There are a lot, and I mean a LOT, of potentially wins coming their way, and it is through their cleansed spirit, their connection to the Air and Water elements (elements of the mind and of the intuition/emotion in traditional tarot) that they should decide what opportunity is right for them to take, and what would be pushing them too far or not be aligned with their True Fire/ True Will.
With the card of Death, it seems as though it is a process that was already started by them refusing opportunities and letting them go, and there might still be a bit of discernment necessary for them to truly get to the place they need with their Spirit. In this case, the Death might indicate some sort of mental pollution from old paradigms which should have been let go of previously, and still have to be cleansed/purified.
The Sulphur/ The Consciousness
This part represents the Soul, the true Fire, the true Will that guides us, that we receive through the Spirit.
Rosemary, Strength - Fennel
Rosemary is a plant known to be used for remembrance of the dead, loyalty and faithfulness. It's also a surprising sturdy aromatic plant, and a lot of witches will tell you it's pretty much good at everything in spells: protection, cleansing, love, money etc. Fennel is also a perennial plant associated with friendship, which is i think the keyword when it comes to the Soul Body of BTS as a group. They are truly, faithful friends before everything else, and that loyalty is everything their spiritual works hang up on, and it's the true reason why they got so successful, why they still are, and why BTS works. They are faithful to each other, and to the purpose they share and the ones they have individually. There is no jealousy, not even a question in the fate they write for themselves, they truly, deeply know that they're here for each and with each other and that there is no other way for them to do this. It's truly where they are happiest.
With the Ace of Wands and the 10 of Wands, they know the crown is heavy. Yet still they carry it, because they know it is built exactly for their conjoined heads, and they would not have it any other way, than together.
I used a binary code translator to translate my favorite sleep spell to binary code. The effect was a resonance based on the feeling of the code touching my mind.

BTS and the 2027 Grammys
As soon as I tapped in i heard "Never again", I think on BTS' side, there is a complete acceptance and awareness of the fact they were played, and are in fact not willing to nod and accept playing Grammy's game anytime soon. I do get the strong feeling if they win anything, it will be on their own term, with a project they did with their heart and by pushing their artistic boundaries, not their commercial ones.
I got the Justice card, page of swords, eight of cups and Everything is FIne. That tells me there is a chance they get nominated, but getting their hopes up would lead to more disappointment if its not grounded in the reality that the Grammys are still very much an unfair, pedantic, predatory institution. In my personal opinion, we might see a Grammy in the next few years, but not a major one yet. I think Grammys are aware of the tension and the pushback from ARMYs and they're waiting to be against the wall to act like theyre benevolently giving them an award. That tends to be how discriminatory authority bodies act when minorities become undeniable.
