This is a really sad moment to me. Over the years I’ve been drawing on tumblr, I’ve managed to amass a following that I never even dreamed of. And for that, I am eternally grateful to both the thousands of people that clicked the follow button to see my art, and to this site for providing me a platform to express myself.
But, as I’m sure you’re all aware, Tumblr, in it’s infinite stupidity, is cleaving the NSFW community that made it so special like a gangrenous limb. So, I guess this is a goodbye to the tumblr that, for a long time, gave me such purpose.

I’m not reblogging Bowsette art, because the internet and my dashboard are already flooded with it. I’m making note of which blogs I follow that are posting it, so I can revisit them later, once the hype dies down.
I actually enjoy the majority of the art, and the fun spins people are putting on the concept, but I don’t want to contribute to the constant flow of art, when it’s already ubiquitous.
I think part of what people have latched onto here is the combination of a villain or monster with a princess aesthetic. Anyone that’s aware of the Towergirls project that @gats is (or was, I’m uncertain) working on should be familiar with that concept. Connecting it to established characters like Bowser just gives it an extra push into the mainstream.
The most amusing thing about this, to me, is how fast people were to support what is at its core a sex-swap transformation. An average or unattractive male turning into a physically attractive female is how most TSF content works, and Bowsette is a perfect example.
How dare you call Bowser unattractive or average.
