my family wasn't this strict, but in some sects of buddhism you're not allowed to eat the "five pungent vegetables", onions garlic shallots leeks and umm chives i think, really any of those kind of vegetables. probably some monk ages ago was tired of onion farts stinking up the temple. anyways, one time my brother made a soup using all five of them. he said, "one sip of this, and you'll be reincarnated as a flea."

i can’t stop thinking about the time my roommate and i asked our insanely ripped neighbor brian who wore flip flops year round and sunglasses on the back of his head for help with carrying a solid wood dresser up to our apartment. he wanted to get his son who was home from college to come help too so he takes out his phone and goes, “siri, call christian christianson” and turns speaker phone on while we stand there sort of stunned by the name and after a few rings cc answers, “what the hell do you want” and brian just hangs up without responding and is all, “kids, am i right” then carries the dresser up four flights of stairs pretty much by himself. we offered him a six pack of rainier as thanks which he immediately opened in our kitchen and downed 2/6 beers in 10 mins while telling us about his 1989 dodge ram 1500 he was trying to get his son to restore with him to no avail. really nice guy. we never saw his son before he went back to school but any time i ask my roommate for help with lifting stuff or reaching something he says, “siri, call christian christianson” and we reminisce about brian and his truck.

I've always been an X-Men: Evolution truther since I was a wee bab and it first came out, but we rewatched it again recently and I suddenly caught the BRainrot and I wanted to draw my favs <3

-It's really a crime we never got to see Wanda and Rogue interact but maybe the show knew their combined goth energy would be too powerful lol Also we talked about them starting a book club which is very cute I think heh

-Found out that Laura and Remy are pretty close in the comics and wanted to draw them (and just as an excuse to draw both characters) I could imagine them crossing paths at some point and hitting it off pretty well

-Lance and Kitty fluff

-The last comic is based on a text post because we talked about Lance ending up with a job at a grocery store and then recently talked about Bobby working at the same place

We were talking about how the Brotherhood had their water shut off eventually after Mystique disappeared so most of them would have to step up and get jobs and were wondering what they might end up with. Said Lance might work at a burger joint (which he eventually gets fired from and then does stocking at a grocery store later), and Pietro found a spot at a coffee shop. He's snappy with the customers but he's a lifesaver during rush hour so they keep him around.
