We found love in the middle of the winter and while everything around us was dead, we burned hotter than a fire and brighter than the sun. That’s how I knew we were different. That you would be the one to change me forever. But suns scorch everything in sight and fires destroy once they get out of control so I guess I should’ve seen it coming, the way you were about to tear through my heart like a fucking hurricane. And for a while, you were here But then you were gone. You left me with my hair tangled up in knots and my hands freezing cold and you never even looked back to see if I was okay. And I wasn’t. I think I went numb from the absence of your warmth. But time still went on, despite how much I didn’t want it to without you, And when the first rain of spring fell, my tears fell with it And while the grass turned green, I turned blue, But it wasn’t like you cared. You were off laughing with another girl And the laughter soon turned into kisses And the kisses soon turned into you forgetting I existed So I started spilling everything within me to anyone who would listen Because I couldn’t contain the pain that continued to grow inside of me every time I heard your name And even though people told me I was lucky to have had a chance to know what love feels like I still wished that we had never met, that I was still the same person that I was before I met you. So, yes, you were here, But the worst thing is that you’re gone And even though the seasons are changing My feelings for you haven’t.
The leaves are falling again and I’m still falling for you (via weaksorry)
