Honestly? I love the idea of magic messing up court cases. With the addition of magic, so many new paths of completely logical actions open up that would never have previously been plausible.

You’d have to, like. Look into people’s backgrounds to see if they have a history of magic use, whether they learned it, whether it was in the family, shit like that. Not to mention the “didn’t know I had magic until a dangerous situation awakened it in me” trope.

Attorneys already have so much to deal with. Magic would make life so hellish.
