Yeah no, no one can tell me SHIT about my hatred for Celestia after 6.5
Bitch has an entire DRAGON SKELETON HANGING FROM THE CEILING!!
And the whole “Hell” part? Literally got sick from that damn hand.
You cannot sit there and tell me HoYo wants you to think the Shades and Heavenly Principles are the good guys after what we all just saw.
It is like they are beating you over the head with a skillet telling you “Celestia is bad, they are immoral and unfeeling, they colonized the planet and display their prize yet cannot feel joy”.
But no, the “dirty uncivilized lizard people” were the problem.
With the rise in A.I. use on AO3, I think it’s time that we start tagging fics appropriately.
Like, do I think you should use A.I. to write a fic? Fuck no. But if you do, tag that shit.
Also, it could be a new fun way to tag your fics. I think a good way to prevent A.I. claims is to tag your fic “no A.I.” and like no beta tags, you can use a “written with *insert fandom specific joke*”
IMO, it’s a win-win-win. If you tag A.I. fics, they can be filtered out. If you tag no A.I., you won’t get claimed/can tell when it’s a bot comment, and then you get to read a funny ass fandom tag
Of course, if you don’t use A.I., I don’t think you have to tag it. But if you do? Well, I can’t stop you, you’re gonna do what you want. But that’s some bullshit that needs a tag.
Writing my Phaideinaxa fic has me thinking about pet names.
In my mind, the three have very different manners of sweet-talk.
🦁: I imagine he is someone that is more “grounded” with his names. He doesn’t really go towards the traditional pet names (sweetheart, baby, etc.). He would lean towards Phainaxa’s titles. His go-tos are things like “my Reason”, “my Deliverer”, “my heart”.
🌿: He’s a little shit. To an outsider, it sounds like he is insulting his lovers. Occasionally he will throw out a “love” or “dearest”, but it’s usually followed by a scold. His go-tos lean more animalistic after becoming Cerces, opting for things like “pup”, “cub”, and a good old reliable “sweet/poor thing”.
☀️: okay, listen. I have a hc that this country boy sounds a little bit bumpkin. He’s got a little twang, I mean he calls us “partner” all the time. He LOVES to throw out traditional names. He’ll spew out a “baby” and “sweetheart” all day every day, even sometimes calling Anaxa his “ol’ lady” when in A.E. But I also feel like he would be really philosophical after Era Nova. He’d tell a farmhand about his ol’ lady then spit some poetry about how Mydei is his soul torn from him and made man and how Anaxa is the northern star that guides him home every night.
They all, however, call each other their sun/moon/stars (☀️/🦁/🌿 respectively)
One of my favorite Chrysos Heirs hcs that I think might be a bit unpopular(?) is that Aglaea is ace/aro.
Maybe it’s because I’m on both spectrums, but the idea that the Goddess of Romance does not feel attraction in the traditional sense is very comforting.
Instead of wanting it herself, she is like an artist. She does not look at romance as something to claim and possess, but something to admire.
She loves the process and work and emotions behind romance and love, but in the way someone loves an art exhibit; looking at the paint strokes, shading, the mistakes and cover-ups—all the things that the artist did to make it come alive.
She does not need to be apart of romance to love it, and to embody it. She understands that emotions are fragile and complicated, and that there is beauty in simply feeling.
She does not feel the need to have a partner or be intimate with someone when in her eyes, romance and beauty is in every inch of your life. The kindness of a stranger, the laughter of children, the unity of a people—all of those are the most beautiful things for the goddess of romance.
After all, one of the most romantic and beautiful things she’d ever seen was a gift from a blind little girl.
I feel like two HYV characters that would get along really well are Xiao and Blade.
Two immortal beings that are destined to live in pain, slowly growing more and more mad due to godly remains infecting their spirit to the point of thinking they are a threat and should be alone, only for the one reprieve to be at the hands of others.
If I had a nickel for every time I fell in love with an Erudition character so much I ended up shipping them with two destruction characters where they get pampered as all hell I'd have two nickels which isn't a lot but it's weird it happened twice.
It’s so fun to be on online writing spaces cuz you see two types of writers.
There is type 1 who uses outlines, pre-plans their stories, has character pages and intense lore about every aspect of every single thing. Cosmology so fleshed out it could be sent to NASA.
And then there is type 2 who treat their works as solo DnD campaigns. Like I know the story beats I want to hit, but in the way that I am the GM, the characters are the PCs, and every chapter is a new session where no one knows what’s happening and oH GOD THE BBEG JUST HIS A NAT20 FUCK WERE GOING TO THE MOON NOW IG. (Bonus points if you upload to ao3 and work and publish chapter by chapter.)
Idk why I’m surprised that I got hooked on HSR so quickly. Like I don’t religiously re-watch D20 Starstruck Odyssey every 2 months.
A game that’s about a group of rag-tag loonies traversing through space in a weird spaceship, meeting and dealing with multiple factions on multiple planets, and ending a universe-ending scenario?
What’s next, the new AE member being a worm possessing some middle-aged Republican?
So, Dottore and his fuckery had nothing to do with the border crisis that Alice and the HXZ had to deal with, as it is still an active threat according to Nicole—albeit a lesser threat after weeks of constant management.
Adding this to the ominous message of Pierro looking to Celestia in that one trailer, what is the possibility that the Tsaritsa sent/allowed Dottore to fuck shit up in Nod-Krai so everyone would focus on that (they made it quite clear that EVERY nation and their Archon knew about it) while the Fatui were fucking with the borders in the hopes of getting a reaction from the HP, to test Teyvat’s limits, or both?
Yes, I know that she sent a decree that he could be eliminated, but let’s be real. Why would the Tsaritsa care about making gods now? She didn’t care during Sumeru with Scara. Why is Dottore doing the thing he’s been trying to do for 2+ years now suddenly be a problem for her?
We are only halfway through Nod-Krai (if the local legend frame thing is an indicator). If Dottore was the big bad of Nod-Krai, why is he defeated now? Thats like us fighting Gosoythoth right after rescuing Kachina.
I don’t think Dottore is dead, nor the big bad that is being overly-conspicuous in its delivery so early on in a region. This feels very much a “missing the forest for the trees” type situation.
Well, assuming that they are able, why the hell would they?
Luna IV spoilers and rambling below
Time fuckery is not enough of a sin to enact punishment. Neither is messing with the false sky. Correct me if I’m wrong, but I don’t think it’s explicitly stated that the HP created it; for all we know, they want it gone as well. Regardless, if it was a sin, Mavuika would’ve been fucked with Ronova, instead they cared about their power being used and a debt owed.
The only times they intervene so far is when someone starts messing with the Abyss. Y’know, the thing that Nibelung used in the war against them?
They don’t care about gods rising and falling. They created the Archon War, I’m sure they aren’t worried about a fledgling moon god wannabe.
Plus, Dottore caused the moon goddesses to relinquish their powers, effectively eliminating the last remaining threat to the HP from that war (sans the dragons but you don’t want me talking about Apep and Neuvi for 10 pages). The power of the moon(s) is now in the hands of someone that does not hold much—if any—hostility towards the HP.
If anything, Dottore’s Nod-Krai scheme probably, if unintentionally, helped the HP.
Now, whether that plan will have long lasting impacts on the HP can be debated, but for right now, Dottore is fine in their eyes.
The Heavenly Principles are not benevolent and just beings. They are selfish, greedy. If it does not cause threat to their reign, they don’t see fit to act. They don’t care about Teyvat’s well being, only that it’s theirs.
The day everyone accepts that every, yes every, character in Genshin is an unreliable narrator and the only way to actually fully understand the totality of the story is to listen to everyone with the same level of scrutiny and cross-reference their testimonies is the day I rest peacefully
So I’ve been playing HSR for like… 4-ish months now, and the more I play, the more I believe that the twins are galaxy rangers that got fucking snipped and trapped on Teyvat.
Like, every twin quest is MC going “uh, hello, what does this have to do with us let’s GO?!?” to the abyss twin.
They both also hold the values of justice and helping those in need. It would put the whole “traveler is a goody good who always has to help” in perspective, as well as the abyss twins need to bring justice to Teyvat.
Each of the Seven nations are not ruled by their Archon’s benevolence, but by their deepest regrets and the worst aspects of their powers.
And that is almost 100% due to the slow corrosion of pure energy stolen from the Seven Sovereigns.
Also, every Harbinger we’ve met with a canon connection to a nation mirrors their homelands perfectly. (Also note that the most “morally good” harbingers are not from the Seven.)
