she knew he’d stop to comment on how she called him short. it worked every time. comment about anyone’s height and they tend to get defensive. matty was going to take it a step further and ask something about if he had lifts in his shoes when she heard the name her called her. half amused and half confused, matty blinked at him a few time. did he just…damn. why didn’t she think of that name herself. it was good.
“ you keep your homework in manila envelopes? kinda suspicious, don’t you think?”
it wasn’t like her mom hadn’t swiped documents like that before. her bullshit meter was going off like crazy. still she waited until most of the other students cleared out until to take a few steps towards him. again she had to admit that seeing him put the door back was pretty cool. metal powers or some kind. like that magnet guy that had off and on again relations with the xmen or whatever the news blabbed about.
“ oh i don’t know…. important security details from the security office you just came out of.”
at the moment she had no reason to go and snitch on him, but she was too curious to just let it slide. he seemed way too sketchy to just let him walk away too. he had mumbled under his breath earlier and came out of the damn security office for crying out loud! something was up and she had the free time to hopefully figure that out.
junior shrugged non-chalantly, twirling around as he walked towards the girl. he was proud of himself for his new nickname. bubbles. damn he was smooth. and smart. and quick thinking. and--- getting distracted now. “maybe i like suspcious?” he breathed out, a brow raised. he tilted his head back smirking at the idea. yeah. he did like looking suspcious sometimes. appearance was important. it was what people saw first. he finished putting the door back together and dusted his hands off before gasping in mock shock.
“what? me? thievery?” the platinum haired boy took a step back and then shrugged. “yeah. maybe. it’s not stealing if it’s taking information they shouldn’t have anyway, isn’t it?” it was files and information on himself and his family. lots of details. he didn’t like it. so. that being said. it wasn’t stealing if it was about you, right? just taking back what was yours. done. hah.
not that he cared if he was technically stealing or not anyway.
