Lovecraft uses both he && they pronouns. Please match the pronouns I use to refer to him when replying to a thread and such. Using masculine && gender neutral terms to refer to him is okay.

My blog is based on original lore && I will periodically make headcanon posts about it && will reference it in IC interactions. While it's not absolutely necessary that you go through these posts, just know that I am not 100% based in canon.

I actively dislike the real life HP Lovecraft. I will not deny the influences his works had on many pieces of media, but he was not a very good person. Thankfully, he's dead as hell, so any Lovecraftian horror is my playground.

While I do have a Pokémon AU, I'm very wary of the fandom. If a mutual makes a Pokémon blog, I'll interact, same woth Pokémon verses. However, I'll need people I talk to OOC to vouch for any new followers. Sorry if this seems a big mean, but I've heard about nothing but drama in that RPC for at least five years.

Here comes a tentacle rising up to grab Bram's hand. Their voice is muffled as they speak, ❝ I love you. Take me to bed && snuggle me. ❞

Those were all valid situations where instant communication would indeed be very helpful and convenient. Things that just wouldn't be communicated or couldn't be when he was used to. At least not by people who weren't him or his vampires.

"What are you feelings on being followed by one of my kin at all times?"

One way or another, Bram would learn the basics of cellphone usage. If he was able to learn that, Howard would be much more comfortable parting from him. His defiance was cute, but only to a degree. Something had to be done to convince Bram to want to better his knowledge.

❝ Shall I...reward you if you learn? ❞ A gentle kiss, ❝ Or...should I punish you? Maybe I...shouldn't let you touch me. ❞

"How will the device know I don't wish to see that screen ever again if I don't press or send it away with vigor?" The vampire folded his arms across his chest in an attempt to not pout further. "I will leave the device message usage to you then. All I require is the music." It's not like Bram had friends to call anyways.

Lovecraft reached out, pressing gentle fingers against Bram's jaw, ❝ If something were to happen....how would you contact me? There's a refreshing charm to his awkwardness, those moments of genuineness that aren't him trying to blend in with the rest of the world. He may not know it, but those moments felt more real to her than most of her life has after joining the Port Mafia.

She follows close behind with her own shoes off and in her hands as he books it to the ocean without so much as a second thought. As soon as feet are touched by the water, she lets out a woof at how cold it is, but doesn't step back. It's a nice distraction for both of them from what they've been dealing with.

"We can always find time. There's more of it than you'd think. I wouldn't mind making this a more frequent thing if you'd want. It'll be nice to have a friend again to wind down with at the end of the day."

Lovecraft was silent for a moment, focusing on the seawater washing over his feet. He'd missed the comfort of the sea since he had entered a contract with Mori && while Nefeloma assured him otherwise, he felt he wouldn't visit the sea for a long while. The feeling settled itself within his stomach && his chest ached like wire had been wound around it. He showed no sign of his shift in emotion, appearing to just be absorbed with the water he waded through.

❝ We're friends? ❞ he asked finally, her words fully registering in his mind.

Lovecraft had had friends before, but it was a rare occasion && he hardly sought people out to be his friend. Eventually, all those who he had held close eventually left or rather, he abandoned them in order to selfishly do something without them. He thought back to their conversation they'd had before they'd left for the beach.

Could he build a friendship with someone so soon after he'd left behind someone he'd known for four years? Lovecraft had been broken up with before, what he felt now was similar, though the sting was not as deep. Both times it had been his fault.

❝ I didn't...think there was room for friends in the Mafia. ❞

okay, i have dropped all threads that haven't received an answer since may!! i know i should reach out to people, but i had quite a few threads to drop, so just let me know if you'd like to write something else with me.

lovecraft has a huge appetite because of how big he is. this man is eating whales && sharks whole as part of a meal. he could really eat a lot at any given time && often has to remind himself to keep up appearances && not eat like four bowls of spaghetti.

lovecraft is kinda just...not fond of land animals that much. cats scare him, but the rest of the animals that live solely on land aren't anything special to him unless they're like a cryptid or something.

he's kinda wary of aquariums because not all of them are (J)AZA accredited && some have a history of treating animals poorly. he doesn't trust other people's opinions still though && often needs to see them for himself before he fully trusts a place.

he's really embarrassed by how he's treated by his hometown. yes, they do respect him as a god, but he finds their indoctrination really skeezy && gross. they also treat him like a fuckin' mascot && it only pisses him off because they don't seem to fear him at all like they used to.

he has his own aquarium in his apartment with several fish && an octopus he takes care of. yes, it's huge && his apartment is expensive. he takes better care of his pets than any human could even dream. if a fish can be spoiled, lovecraft's fish are definitely spoiled.

lovecraft's ears have been pierced for a really long time. he would be gifted handmade jewelry && not be able to wear it all, so he took a needle && did it himself. they are kinda off because of that, but it's not noticeable unless he points it out.

when he was a kid, he'd let the girls in the village play with his hair because he found it relaxing. he'd often fall asleep && they would giggle && keep playing with his hair. he wasn't very good at doing hair, so he wasn't allow to touch their hair.

i've thought about this a lot, but if lovecraft was human, he'd still be nonbinary && bi.he would just have an actual concept of gender && sexuality rather than just understanding something that sounds close to how he feels.

lovecraft is much more bold with men because he feels like women usually have higher standards so they make him really, really nervous. a pretty man is nothing, but a pretty girl is paralyzing

he does get over stimulated because of his autism quite a bit && he regulates this by sleeping or at least being in bed for awhile. if he's on a contract, he kinda forces himself to deal with it, but later he has to rest for a really, really long time. having a partner or someone he's close with makes it a lot easier for him to decompress.

Lovecraft looked down at Airin with a small frown, glancing briefly to the concession stand on the boardwalk. Ice cream was one of the best things humans had invented, if not their favorite thing overall. Airin was...not a dog nor was he a cat, Lovecraft still could not parse exactly what he was. Did he have dietary restrictions like regular animals did? With his level of intelligence && age, surely he was aware of what he could && couldn't have.

❝ One second. ❞

Rising to their feet, Lovecraft left Airin underneath their shared beach umbrella && made their way towards the concession stand. The staring was always present it seemed, even when Lovecraft was doing something as simple as purchasing ice cream. It was made even worse by the shape of the ice cream.

In each hand was a character ice cream based off the town's local god turned mascot, a green octopus-like creature with crooked gumball eyes && horrific disfigured features. Sitting down, Lovecraft was silent for a moment before offering one of the ice creams to Airin. (Did he need thumbs to eat it?)

❝ This was...a featured item on their menu. ❞

"And also a god, my love?" Bram pointed out with a light huff. "I was once a human, so.... elderly human is closer. How should I be using this wonder device?"

Baffling... To simply happen upon her brother's partner in such a way, that is. In truth, Rosalie truly could not care less who her partner favored, as long as they truly cared for him and all of that 'treat my brother well' business. Rosalie was more attracted to the sapphic herself, so who was she to judge? Her brother cared for this person. They apparently cared for him. How did she stumble across her brother's partner??

" Yes, yes, and if you don't mind, I'm not too keen on knowing every detail of my brother's lovelife... " she joked with a dismissive wave of her hand. As happy as Rosalie was for them both, she didn't need to hear about the loverboy side of Henry... But even so, she couldn't help but feel a bit at peace seeing just how much this Lovecraft--Howard?--fellow cared for her brother.

The woman then extended her hand to the looming figure before her. " Then I suppose a proper greeting is in order! It's a pleasure to meet the object of my brother's affections~ " And a pleasure indeed...though Henry will no doubt have his ear talked off next time she saw him. But Rosalie couldn't fault her eldest brother for having his own secrets. There was plenty Rosalie had yet to tell him about her own life. Blood as they may be, they were still, well...strangers. Strangers hoping to get to know each other once more. And Rosalie hoped to get to know his partner as well. " As long as you're at my brother's side and treat him fairly, I see no reason to believe you are anything less than family. You may simply call me Rosalie. Would you prefer I call you 'Howard' or 'Lovecraft'? "

More than anything, Lovecraft was overjoyed that Rosalie wasn't immediately disgusted by his presence, that she welcomed it instead of pushing him away. Something about him—though he was unsure of what it was—always seemed to make others uncomfortable with his presence, even in the human form he took. He was glad that the only thing she seemed to feel was shock at meeting him && eagerness to know him more.

❝ Oh...sorry, ❞ Lovecraft wound his hair tighter, chuckling, ❝ I struggle to...contain myself when I talk about the man I love. ❞

There wasn't a single occasion in which Lovecraft wouldn't be eager to talk about his love, his very heart. The man he wanted to marry, the one he wanted children with, but he would leave that discussion between Henry && himself. He took the extended hand within his own, gingerly shaking her hand before quickly taking it away.

❝ I'll protect Henry with...everything I have in me, ❞ he glanced away, ❝ You can...call me Howard. Since you are...family, I will protect you && Edgar just as fiercely. ❞

Family, the word made his usual emotionless tone waver, just slightly. He had his father, who'd only ever done one significant thing in his life—giving live to Howard. There was also his extended family, the more monstrous && catastrophic beings that humans could hardly look upon without their eyes turning to liquid in their heads. They only bothered with Howard when they wished to give him undecipherable dreams.

Howard hadn't had a family before. Not a real one.

❝ Thank you...Nunnally, ❞ Lovecraft gratefully took the glass his wife offered in his hand && took a careful sip. Humming at the taste, he smacked his lips, considering the flavor. It wasn't the best lemonade he'd ever had, but he didn't have the heart to criticize something his wife had made for him. They had no servants, no chefs in their large home in Yokohama, so he could only assume.

He took another sip && sighed, setting the already half-empty glass on the side table.

❝ Are you...doing okay in the heat? Do you need me to do...anything to help you cool down? ❞ If Nunnally was suffering because of the heat, he couldn't very well let her continue to do so, ❝ ...Would a kiss help? ❞

i honestly can't remember. none of my angst threads ever go very far or they take so long that it doesn't really evoke anything from me anymore. i just don't think i've written anything sad before. of course, i could change that, but nothing really comes to mind.

i might be taking this too literally, but no, they're fictional and i control what they do. mun = muse, but i determine what they do && say. they have no control over me because...they're not real lol.

Howard slipped closer next to Bram, wrapping strong tentacles around his body underneath the water, easily holding the both of them up with little energy. One naughty tentacle just so happened to brush across his ass as Howard leaned forward to lock their lips for just a brief moment. After a moment, they leaned back, pressing their foreheads together, though they did glance out of the corner of their eye.

They moved far, far away from the other beach patrons to avoid any nosy humans, but they still kept a careful watch. Easily carrying Bram in their tentacles, they dragged him to some nearby rocks. They laid him down carefully before crawling on top of him, smiling.

🎧 Do you associate songs with your muse(s)? If so, share one!

i don't associate very many songs with lovecraft, but i do associate songs with cupid (@/luvccubus). mainly one concerning an old ship i used to have with them is labour by paris paloma. that ex very much treated like a sex object and really only care about what they could provide for him. cupid never reduced themself to a housespouse, but they were certainly treated like they should have been one. they spent a lot of time caring for this person. i don't know if it's canon to that blog, but i have to be able to do the secret child plot first.

just one thing?? i honestly really like that lovecraft just kinda...exists. he doesn't have to prove that his existence is valid, he doesn't need it. he's just allowed to be some big tentacle monster and yeah, people think it's weird, but he's not treated poorly because of it. steinbeck in particular doesn't seem to have an issue with it. i feel like he's unapologetically himself && i really, really love that about him.

i fuck up over easy eggs every single time i make them. idk why i struggle so much with them, but i always cook them for way too long && they end up over medium every damn time. i can cook burgers and steaks literally just fine but i'll be damned if i can cook an egg.

not to be a pervert, but there's a few kinks i've wanted to write that i haven't had the chance to explore yet. there's also the secret child plot specifically for cupid that i've wanted to do.

it just kinda happens! a lot of it depends on how threads go and how i talk to other muns ooc. sometimes i also just...dream something or get an idea randomly. like the reason lovecraft wants 4 kids is because i dreamed he had 4 kids, so stuff like that can happen!

now i don't want to not include someone when i say this, but i get excited when my friends ooc respond. idk it's a good bonding activity dfgjdk
