That Magnus memory loss theory can fuck right off.

No way Alec would willingly allow someone to remove Magnus’s memories of their relationship. Yeah I know the scene is colored different but like??? That could just be how they colored it from the promo! Or it could be Alec’s memory of Magnus and him realizing how he can’t ever break up with him even if there’d be consequences for it!

Basically I refuse to accept that theory and it can go in the trash, bye

They have matching rings on before their wedding that’s been spoiled in 3x22, and it’s not the Seelie rings we saw in this episode, and how in the world is Alec wearing around that matches Magnus’ in 3x21 if they were broken up??? Doesn’t make senseeeee. And here’s a picture of the Seelie ring below, it has cravings in it meanwhile the one on Alec’s finger in 3x21 is smooth. So.

As for the break up theories, i don’t really know what to think. Because at some point, i feel like Alec might go through with Asmodeus’ deal, because it kills him to see Magnus so unhappy, and he realises that no matter how har he tries, he can’t make him fully happy now. And that’s all he wants, he said it himself, he just wants Magnus to be happy. And he knows that without his magic, he can’t be.

But on the other hand, Alec knows how much heratbreak and pain might their break up bring, because he knows Magnus loves him. They had all these plans for the future, wanted to move in together…

I don’t know, i hope they will somehow trick Asmodeus into giving Magnus his magic back, but malec will do something not to break up. And i hope that Alec tells Magnus about this deal, instead of just going through with it. I don’t know how Magnus would react, probably he’d be angry and he wouldn’t want to do it like this… but his magic is also his essence, what makes him feel alive, and even though he doesn’t want to leave Alec… He’s going to lose either his love or his lifeforce.

Alec has the hardest choice to make, ever, and we know that he’s not selfish, so he’ll probably do everything to make Magnus happy again, even if it means giving up his own happiness.

What hurts the most is that Alec understands how Magnus is feeling, but the line “I’m not happy” and the indications that he’ll only be happy with magic, even though Alec constantly reminds him that Magnus has him, must be like shots to the heart. And I don’t think Magnus realizes what he’s implying when he says things like that, but all I’m thinking about is Asmodeous’s trade off in the next episode and those phrases repeating in Alec’s head as he makes his decision…

Theres no doubt in my mind that Alec would break his heart so he could have his magic. I just hope it doesn’t happen.

No one if talking about the fact that in the 3x18 promo you can see in the mirror the reflection of an old woman where Asmodeus is sitting. And remember Harry and Matt said Asmodeus would disguise himself as someone else? So clearly Alec thinks he’s going to someone who isn’t Asmodeus.

Also I definitely think Asmodeus wants to break up Magnus and Alec so Magnus will turn dark and join him. I’m also mostly convinced that at least in 3x18 no fake “break up” happens as in 3x19 there’s supposed to be a scene with Madzie, Alec and Magnus getting ice cream which definitely wouldn’t be happening if there was a “break up” in 3x18.

Personally I think Alec won’t be able to go through with the break up (since when in the past has Alec ever listened to anyone who told him he and Magnus shouldn’t be together?). Or maybe he reveals to Magnus what he made an agreement on. I mean tbh I have no idea what’ll happen but part of me is convinced there may be a quick marriage in 3x19 (Brother Zachariah is also on this episode) before Magnus is maybe taken away for them not completing the bargain they made?
