Another throwbackthursday thumbnail set.

These thumbnails were part of a uni project from a few years back, where I designed a book/comic cover based on the Welcome to Night Vale podcast episode 'This is a Story about Them'.

If I did this project over I think I'd like to draw up one of the dark planet designs. I want to draw some rad red/purple skies.

I'm so painfully behind on WTNV.... And a bunch of other podcasts.... and here I am eying a bunch of new ones to start listening to...

Animal Crossing shouldn’t be capitalist

Okay so hear me out: In the Animal Crossing, bells (money, their main form of currency) literally grows on trees and rocks.  Therefore, their entire currency is based on an infinite source with no regulation or external currency as a backup. It is bound to lead to quick hyperinflation. It has no value.  Considering the activities in the town, their main form of economy should be a trade-like system, where trading for objects with other objects is the main way to acquire new possesions.  Yes, Tom Nook is a kind capitalist, giving the main character a home and a debt with 0% interest. However, by having this monopoly on housing and the general store, he’s the biggest influence of capitalism in the town. He’s the main reason why their economy is doomed to be a hyperinflated mess. It’s the sole reason the AC economy can’t prosper.
