Me, a 15 yo ""boy"" shaving my legs in secret for my liking, not showing it to anyone, fearing my family will find out... actually was influenced by patriarchy to do that despite not even realizing i was a girl at the time.

Cis/Trans binary will be the next evil binary that is exorsexist and you will not be allowed to call people cis or identify with being trans anymore.
One thing needs to be said to feminist women:
Women have less body hair than men. It is tied to femininity because women usually cannot even grow full bread with average hormone levels.
I am not saying women need to shave. But many trans women feel the need to shave because of dysphoria. Some of you claim this dysphoria is entirely a result of patriarchy. But the level of body hair most cis women have unshaved is not comparable to those of us who went through testosterone fueled puberty. You are essentially hairless compared to us. I could not shave for 3 days and will have more noticable hair than most cis women who have not shaved for their lives. Especially facial hair. Very rarely due to PMOS, genetics, ethnicity or other things cis women have comparable levels of body hair. This is similar to feeling dysphoria for height. A 6'5 trans women would feel dysphoria for her height, even if there exist cis women taller than her (1 in a million). This is a trait that is correlated with sex hormones. This is why we feel dysphoria, not bc we are misogynistic.
What does “you can’t change your sex” even mean, seriously?
Because you evidently can. There are aspects of one’s sex that are absolutely changeable… hormones, the shape of your genitals, secondary sex characteristics, etc.
Oh, you mean chromosomes? Well chromosomes aren’t your sex - because “sex” just refers to all of your individual sex characteristics - there is not one singular trait that makes you That Sex - in the same way that there are multiple characteristics that make a creature a mammal.
Also, defining sex by chromosomes makes no logical sense. The majority of people don’t know for sure what their chromosomes are, and can only guess because they’re usually sexually normal. Unless you get tested, you don’t actually know. And certainly no one knows for sure what chromosomes someone else has.
Some folks like to act as if male/female are these Titles Bestowed Upon Thee from the Heavens, but it’s just categorizing sex traits based on patterns and their functions in sexual reproduction. You don’t even have to say male or female. Gorgus supplies the sperm, which will fertilize the eggs of Lurmo. Bing bang boom baby. Evolution!
I think there was a point to this, but I forgot. “The sexes” are just collection of traits and you shouldn’t care about enforcing them, especially in a world where willingly changing your sex characteristics is easier than it was in the past.
The sex characteristics aren’t even like Totally Different from each other - they’re just two different forms of the same thing. A penis is just a really big clit. Everyone has breasts, estrogen just makes them more likely to be bigger (and create milk). Everyone has testosterone and estrogen, just in different amounts
Basically sex isn’t all that real live long and prosper have the freedom to alter yourself
I think that (cis) people find extremely uncomfortable to even consider that sex could *not* be an inmutable biological reality, but rather a loose collections of physical traits that change just as much as any other set of physical traits that you have. I think that most (cis) people would have a hard time sitting down and considering that puberty is a kind of sex change that most people (cis people, even!) goes through, and that andro/menopause is another sex change that most people go through.
the notion that a 15-yo cis boy going through puberty is going through just as much of a sex change as is it for a 35-yo trans man starting hrt can be truly upsetting. not just because it threatens the "inmutabiliy of sex" pillar of cishetero thought, but probably because it *also* threatens the notion of adult bodies as "finished" bodies, bodies that are already "done" and do not undergo any more fundamental changes. idk I should think a bit more about this
If we are solely defining sex as chromosomes in your body... then it is actually much easier to change even compared to HRT.
Just get a blood donation. Get someone elses... ahem...juices or other things inside your body. Even being pregnant causes you to have different chromosomes inside your body. Getting organ donation also changes it. Having mosaicism is also possible. Bone marrow/stem cell donations also change chromosomes.
Chromosomes are so flimsy actually.
I actually love shaving and having smooth skin. I just prefer it that way. I think it looks better on me.
I am an adult human being who is fully capable of consent. I don't understand why some people treat me as brainwashed by misogynistic society.
I am just gender non-conforming in other areas. Things that i consent to change and express in a different way.
So many people (especially terfs)'s response to choice feminism is to infantilezing women and deny our agency 100% from our bodies and the beauty standarts (Women also have a say in that).
can we send up a quick thank you to pdf uploaders, torrent seeders, copy sharers, scanlators, fansubbers, digitizers, paywall dodgers, and various other internet archivers for making niche art and information more accessible in a media landscape where all but the most profitable mainstream are often tossed aside and left to rot

one of the most eye-rolling trends on this website is people talking up how woke their sexual preferences are. you can't scroll for five minutes here without seeing someone patting themselves on the back for their heroic role in the feminist struggle because they like hairy pussy
Trans Women Face More Injuries Than Cis Ones (It's Not Even Close)
A new study found that injury rates among transgender women are significantly higher than injuries among cisgender women, based on radiologi
❝Transgender women in the study group suffered 8x times as many head injuries as the controls, 36x as many facial injuries, and 5x times as many chest injuries.❞
So much for "protecting women".
For all those wondering why the title doesn't say this, it's because the study doesn't say this either.
While the cause of the injuries may be obvious, it's not technically known, and science speaks for what is known.
Some (a minority) of the trans women injured reported that it was violence, and some (a smaller minority) reported that it was intimate partner violence, but most did not report anything and the stats are just from the fact that they needed treatment and so went through the radiology department with their injuries.
Getting a lot of reblogs saying "undescribed" and "no image ID" etc, so please be aware that I did add alt text shortly after posting (it was a pain to copy on my phone so I did it on my desktop), but by then, it had already been reblogged by a couple of big blogs, so this alt-texted version is languishing, please do reblog it!
How can trans womens medical recommendations and our own resources for using hormones (BC) be so streamlined and collectively understood
While for cis women: "If you don't use the plecibo pills you will get 50 forms of cancer" "if you don't feel pain that means you will die before 30"
And we are literally using the same fucking pills.
i kind of think i should not have to manually send a message to my doctor or pharmacy that says 'i noticed you did not fill this prescription for the 10mg version of this medication because you are out of stock. perhaps you should try the 5mg version and just double the daily dose. thanks' like i think that should happen automatically. that should be something that happens without me having to relay messages to various parties
perhaps, and this is insane but stay with me, perhaps the doctor and the pharmacy could communicate directly. the pharmacy could call the doctor and say, "hello, we are out of stock of the 10mg formulation. do you think the 5mg formulation would be alright, and we'll just send double the amount to the client?" and the doctor would say "yes, i think thats fine". there could even be large databases that have information about whether the drug in question needs to be dispensed in particular doses or not, perhaps as a time-release consideration, or whether it is ok to swap out dosing units like this. and this database could already be accessible to the pharmacy, perhaps through some sort of global digital communication system, and then they wouldnt have to communicate with the doctor at all, the prescription would already have information in it about dosing dispensary guidelines. imagine
How about this: Being able to just buy the drug you need without the approval 2 strangers every month which often delayes the process and makes your wellbeing worse.
there was a post on here a year or two ago that was like "radfems think feminism is when women create a feedback loop to justify their harmful trauma responses" and I think about it every week. that one sentence helped me understand the abuse I suffered from my ex more than several dozen therapy sessions did. I hope whoever the op was is having a fantastic decade
I used to be a passionate advocate for transmasc lesbians. My logic was this: lesbianism is a social culture that is defined not by rigid boundaries but by a shared language, in-jokes, memes, signifiers, etc etc. I argued that even a cis man could be a lesbian in theory (but that if "he" is there is definitely something queer going on with "his" gender so "cis man" is probably not the most apt descriptor). I pointed to other examples of queer words whose meaning has changed over time (e.g. "bisexual") to indicate that there is no need to insist on WLW as a definition (or its "non-men" equivalent) even as the reality of the use of the word "lesbian" is shifting right before our eyes. I took a descriptivist approach to "lesbian"="whoever calls themselves a lesbian".
But in all my activity along this line, I never even noticed that not a single transmasc lesbian (nor cis lesbian) had ever reached out to me to say "you are welcome in our community". I was putting in all this work to advocate for a group of people who didn't even want me around, and there is no way in hell they'd put in the same effort for me. I was doing the intellectual work of justifying the inclusion of a group that benefitted from my exclusion.
I think that when I realised that this was happening was when materialism really clicked for me. Who actually is excluded from lesbian spaces? Who actually needs help being included? Who doesn't need that help because they are already included? For all I heard online about the demonisation of transmasculinity, you can't move for transmascs of all stripes in my local lesbian scene, while there are maybe one or two transfems willing to put up with the indignity of how they are treated there.
My views on transmasc lesbians haven't really changed, I still agree with all that in principle. The thing that has changed is I no longer spend time and energy advocating for a group of people who will accept my advocacy only to slam the door in my face.
I wonder what transphobes who are against "cutting/chopping of perfectly healthy body parts" think about abortion access?
Can a person abort their fetus just because they want to without a medically approved condition?
How about hysterectomy? BC? IUD? Breast enlargement/reduce/removal?
Bodily autonomy for all.
I think society expects trans women to excel at both traditionally male and female tasks
"Weren't you used to be man?"
"Aren't you trying to be woman?"
ie. Best of the both worlds
ultimately whats so annoying about the arguing over the badness of famous people existing in public while anorexic is just the sheer pointlessness "im just concerned for her, as a fan :(" i guarantee she knows she is too thin lol she has been told that so many times and does not need or care about your input as a weird overinvested stranger on twitter "we have to protect the innocent children who might see the size and shape of her body so they dont glorify it" its too bad there is just no possible way to teach children its ok to be fat and eat enough besides litigating the ideal bmi of ariana grande and its too bad their otherwise unsullied body image was ruined by seeing her exist and not by anything else said to them by their doctors or parents or anything
