You're so sweet, thank you! This small, but very mighty, corner of the fandom has some real heavy hitters (of whom this is a non-exhaustive, in-no-particular-order list):
If you haven't already, head here and read everything @goddesspharo has written for Phoenix/Hangman. Much has—very deservedly—been said about can't fake what you can't break up with (aka the Vegas AU), and I'm green with envy that you possibly get to experience it for the first time. I think about a fraudulent zodiac (the spy AU) and call-response overturns convictions every time (the boxing AU) frequently.
Bullshit (You Can Be Mine) by @forasecondtherewedwon is the first fic I read for Phoenix/Hangman. To call it formative would be an understatement. Trapdoor Prayers by this author has a line that still makes me cackle: (“Permission to spoon you, Lieutenant?” / “Denied,” she says, the word wrapped in a yawn.)

I remember (ha) remember more (then you) by @megalong making my heart hurt in the best way, as amnesia fics should! And while not strictly Hannix, her OT3 fic warm sun, cool ocean breezes is a thing of beauty (and has hints of just Hannix before Rooster pulls his head out of his ass).
we promised we’d be safe (another lie from the front lines) by @melodiousoblivionao3 is a poignant take on "what if they have a HISTORY?" with a sprinkle of The Notebook. The details are stunning, and I remain blown away by the use of the motif of home.
Talk to Me by @autumntouched is such an emotionally honest take on Phoenix (and Hangman and Rooster). I believe she went into the fic without either of the pairings as a foregone conclusion, and you can tell in how real Phoenix's conflict is. But it lets relationships develop organically, and makes her ultimate choices so much sweeter.
