[OC] -A Meeting in 1997- The first time Rain and Igor laid eyes on each other.
They hadn't spoken to each other *yet* at this point in time. But they were very much aware of eahc other's prescence.

TL:DR I do not want to cancel the show, I don't want it to cancel me.
So I have been forced, basically, to make this statement as I am being asked about this character or 'introduced' to it (and the incoming new show) against my desires. I have deleted all previous posts about my encounters with this problem long ago for personal reasons that will be apparent, but people don't know about my situation and do deserve an explanation. I will keep this post short for my own mental health. This is the first time I have disclosed any of this information to the public, and it is hopefully the last. My silence has been a part of my uncomfortable situation, but it's clear the world won't let me try to just ignore it any longer, so it's full disclosure time.
1, Yes. I know about Mr Puzzles and his uncanny resemblance to RGB, my character from the on going comic The Property of Hate, who pre-exists Mr Puzzles by approximately ten years.
I did not, as a consequence, base RGB off Mr Puzzles...
2, I have received very violent and manipulative hate mail from fans of that character over the past few years due to this similarity, many threatening to slander me via cancel culture to discredit my own creations. The worst of these messages almost caused me to commit suicide which close friends can attest to (this period coincided with the death of my father which they used against me to full effect).
Since then the hatemail has been less frequent, but continues, and I am afraid it will pick up again with the advent of this new show.
3, I have contacted the smg4 management about these issues, to no avail. My first email was a request to tell their followers to cease sending me hatemail, which they did not attempt in any way. They have never responded to the large overlaps in terms of RGB's design, and when I finally sent them an email via a lawyer as a last resort (which cost me £4000) they did not respond. Please note that I did not ask for a cease and desist, I only wanted the hatemail to stop, and perhaps for them to alter Mr Puzzle's design very slightly to be a little less like RGB's. I even made this simple suggestion as an example:
Despite going out of my way (against the lawyer's wishes) to phrase the letter in a none-hostile manner, and offer them an alternative, they did not reply to this email at all.
I am a disabled indie cartoonist; I do not have the money to take further legal action, and in any case I do not want to. I hate conflict, and the emotional toll of sending that email alone was enough to make me miserable and exhausted for months. All I want is to be left alone, and for people to know that RGB was invented first. I cannot afford to do anything to protect myself or make anyone listen legally; this post is the most I can do, and it is the only post I intend to make about it.
that's it. that's the whole situation. please do not message me about the show, or the character, as both are very distressing to me: if you do I will either delete the message, or block you, depending on the angle. I have blocked all related tags, and I will unfollow if I see posts, so I am doing everything I can to take care of myself in a non-aggressive fashion. I have only made this statement so that people understand.

I'd like to think in your Menthol AU, the owner heals up Daisuke and just like tells Anya, 'heres ya boy back' free of charge, as he knows the shit she went through.
You're not wrong at all, (I love how you made it sound like he got thrown to Anya like a free toy XD).
But yeah, the aliens have special tech that allows them to look at the memories of theos revived. (Tech belongs to the aliens that operate human zoos so it can depend tourist expereince). The one that bought Anya got a free disk of her trauma and took pity on her. So when Anya asked about the rest of the crew, she and the alien went out of their way to find and buy the others. (Jimmy, Daisuke, Swansea were the order of revives. Curly took work cuz he got auctioned off as he was still alive and the Zoo Keepers only wanted dead bodies).
Daisuke learns later what happened to Anya as she isn't sure she can trust telling him anything. Considering the horrors she is putting Jimmy through.
*slams hands down* an AU where Swansae 'accidentally ' causes Jimmy insufferable, unspeakable torture by some other force. Meanwhile Anya gets taken to therapy by Daiskue.
(NGL I thought og that, btu I think it would be more fitting if Anaya was the one to cause Jimmy unbearable suffering. It's why I made the Menthol Au. This way, Jimmy gets to feel the pain Anya felt and more. He gets to be used and abuse by alien creatures that love humans. )
This is a comic page I did where Anya tells Jimmy that he is going to be working in a brothel to pay her back for the treament he was given to revive him. (News flash, it was free for her she is just torturing and fucking with Jimmy).
Shocker, Jimmy doesn't like the idea of forced m-preg or SA on him for money. he don't have a choice in the matter. Nor does he like how in control Anya is.
Made a dark Mouthwashing Au because sometimes I want Jimmy to suffer a similar or same fate as Anya did. So I made an AU for those that feel the same as me~
Context: The rest of the crew is being nursed back to health. As advanced alien tech is, Anya was first because her cause of death were pills something that could/would be easier to handle. Versus things like organ/brain/head damage. Jimmy was second to be revived cuz I like to assume with such a loser like him, he failed in his own s**cide and was miserably injured. This way, Anya has a lot more time to sit on her new found second chance at life and give to the position she is in now. She personally asked to purchase Jimmy as he would be seen as a high commodity. And if not, she would make him into one.
Note, Anya is a manager and picks out her workers (criminals or fellow human scumbags like Jimmy so no innocence are hurt here folks!)

I know a lot of people feel badly for Aline and feel moved by Renior's feelings for wanting to keep his wife and subsequent family safe and alive, but I do not feel Aline deserves understanding and grace.
Let me preference this by saying I understand grief. It comes in different shapes and forms and sometimes brings out the worst in us. We even push away those that care about us without needing to and find unhealthy escapes.
But the lengths Aline goes to in her own grief in the game is beyond unacceptable when half if not all the events were her fault IMO.
From the moment Clea and Verso were little, it was made clear that they had no room to breath let alone do anything they wanted to do with their lives. Verso with his desire to play music and the fact that The Fading Boy tells us that Clea was raise/made to be 'perfect'. Maelle/Alicia was raised to be the same but ignored because she focused more on writing and literature vs her skills a s Paintress.
Parents stifling their kids and watching over them can have negative impacts on their choices growing up. It allianates them. Causes them to either repress emotions or thoughts just tp please their parent or reach other to others for approval. When we face the Paintress on the Monolith, the flash backs we see is Aline merely being happy about Clea and Verso painting and being more than pleased with Verso's gifts. it leads me to believe she wasn't nurturing what so ever and wanted them to fit a vision she set for them.
It's more than clear with how she painted her Canvas Family. Why did she make Renior, her husband and person that wants her alive and with him, a yes man that does what ever she wants and pleases. Never questioning her choices. Same with Clea who was obsessed with making her creations 'perfect'. Which made the real version angry (understandably so).
The same with Alicia, who is the biggest crime. In her jounral entry, she understands that Alicia is hurting, blames herself and she isn't 100% guilty, but then proceeds to paint a version of her that was the only one affected and taken by the fire. While she isn't dead, she is mutilated. Voice taken, face ruined, eye taken. it is cruel and it's all the more emphasies with the fact when she say Maelle and knew she may/or may not be Alicia, her firts reaction was to light her face on fire.
Why would you have such, what I describe as, hatred for your own child? How is that fair? (It's ironic the only one that seems to care for Painted Aline is Painted Renior. Shows how Aline sees their's dynamic...)
She didn't even notice her, she merely noticed Painted Verso. Which I shall also say, she kept him to his truest self. Giving him the real verso's look and memories, but changing the rest of the family. If you loved your family, why change them? Alter them to fit a better vision YOU have for your OWN head and self.
It's solidifed that when Painted Verso rejects her, she immediately assumes he 'belonged' to her husband and wasn't 'her' Verso. The wording is suddenyl cold. He is pushed away with disgusted and his exsistence is worded as if her child is an object.
I would go out of my way to say that Aline is a creepy Boy-Mom because of how insane and driven she became trying to stay and live in Veros' canvas. She is aware of what happens when in the Canvas. She is aware, Renior confirmed even she saved him from a similar fate, yet she insists. Not caring about her other children. Clea is the oldest, what of her?
We can tell there's no respect for the parents when Clea says their names instead of Mama and Papa like Verso and Maelle/Alicia.
Alicia went to the writers for what I assume, to be acceptance and they probably used that to manipulate her. Maybe if Maelle/Alicia had a real support system, we would not have to deal with this.
Verso isn't even free from this. His relationship with his parents and more so mother reads off as toxic. Why does he have a small place hiden away? 'No girls allowed' feels odd when the Endless Tower was something he and Clea played in? Why is there a short tale of how he fights Osquio who seems to parrot something a parent would say.
Verso's negative feelings and voices pushed down and made into a monster he can fight and face. And while it's clear he does love his mother by his child drawings, it's clear he also doesn't want to displease her either. Maybe just forced himself to balance what she wants and what he loves.
In the end, the only one comforted is Aline.
The canvas was erased because Renior couldn't trust she wouldn't go back in there. Alicia/Maelle wouldn't have gotten attached and had a second life if Aline hadn't been insane and gone in there. Now the family has nothing left of Verso's work. Even Renoir said he didn't want to but couldn't trust Aline.
So yes, I blame all this on Aline and I can't blame Maelle for not wanting to leave. What is there to go back to? A broken family that barely notices/loves you? Yeah right.
I agree. Another example of this is the fact that the real Verso allegedly was a liar and wore ‘masks’. Speaking from experience, you only do that if you have parents / a parent that criticizes every little thing you do or do wrong without nurturing the things YOU want. They try to mold you into the kid version of you they have in your head without regarding who you really are or how stupid that sounds because you’re still developing and just a kid (if that makes sense).
At one point it’s just a lot more simple to pretend to do your parents bidding than being berated every time you breathe wrong.
