The 2 "roommates" are currently relaxing under a mushroom (the non glowing type), just chatting and chilling, their pet crab just scuttling about doing...whatever crab stuff do.

"Angel, don't you ever get bored...?" Opum asked innocently enough, antenna low to indicate sadness.

The other sighed, crossing arms "of course I get bored. But it's not like there's anything we can do"

Opum sighed, flying their arms in the air "I wish something interesting happens! Like a new face!! Or a new game!"

"Why did you say new face?" Angel asked

"Because, Angel, I love you, but I wanna talk to more people than just you!"

But who in the hell thinks just wishing into the sky would make it happen?

Today's chore was collecting herbs. Tuk had just realized he was down to the last few loose leaves. Maybe one cup of tea. If he was lucky. So, he went to the Hidden Forest to gather some. However, Tuk forgot his umbrella. The rain making his fur heavy and his skin freezing.

Now, Tuk didn't mind being wet. His favorite past time was just sitting in the hot spring just outside of the Village of Dreams. Nor did he mind the cold. He did live in the Valley afterall.

Cold, nasty rain was a completely different story. Tuk took cover under some near by mushroom caps...only to realize that he almost ran over the two people that where sitting there.

"Oh, sorry about that!" He scooted over to the safety of the next mushroom over, "Didn't see you there."

That got the attention of the two. Angel immediately scooted away, in fear of sky kids (part out of anxiety, but out of genuine fear for their "health").

But Opum had no hesitation, and they approached, 3 eyes sparkling with wonder "a new friend!!" They extended a clawed hands "Hello! I'm Opum! And I'm part krill!" They then pointed to the other, whose umbrella was already out and covering them. "And that's Angel, my roommate!" Then at Fatty, who was trying to climb on a nearby lantern "and our yet Fatty!"

They grinned "nice to meet you!!"

Tuk grinned under his mask. Unfazed by the bunch of misfits. He shook the offered claw and spoke, "Pleasure to meet all of you. I'm Tuk. Sorry if I got you all wet. I know it's unpleasant. More so if a stranger is getting you wet."

They pulled their friend behind and said something in a hushed tone

"OK, so Angel told me not to reveal their tea habits to you so can you pretend you never heard of that please?" They give the puppy eyes.

i mean, last time i tried taking comms was when i was struggling to eat day to day and burning through my savings with rent? and got One™ person trying to buy from me? and im now in a situation where i have the physical capability to eat daily and im not paying rent due to the pandemic/not being able to/being in terrible shape.

i wont die if i dont have the money anymore, but also my life savings are like- at a thousand dollars which is a pisspoor number for someone whos been living at their parents house and trying to work fulltime for 2 years and using birthday/christmas money on getting food to eat
