As she walks Simon to the entrance, Nicole slips an arm around his waist, determined to get him to stay the night. But not only did Dim still scare him a little, but Simon doesn't want to rush things between them any more than necessary.

Ready for bed, Nicole plops down next to Dim, who is taking advantage of the cool night air of Del Sol. He keeps up his “strict uncle” act for a moment longer before bursting out laughing. Nicole nudges him, but then bursts out laughing too.

Dim can't stop laughing and Nicole is filled with a sense of gratitude. Even though the joke dragged on a bit, Dimetrice is an amazing uncle who has always been there for her and protected her, stepping into the role of a father that no one else but him seemed ready to assume.

The dinner begins in a heavy silence, with Dim shooting Simon dark glances, causing him to gradually shrink back in his chair. At first, Nicole doesn't dare say anything. But as the evening goes on, she begins to see through his act and narrows her eyes at him every time he glares at her boyfriend.

When Dim speaks up, Nicole knows he’s going to take pleasure in tormenting Simon. The latter doesn’t take his eyes off his food, in case he catches that murderous glare across the table again. But when Dim insinuates that he’s only there out of self-interest, the biting remark slips out instantly.

Nicole, who is getting seriously annoyed by this little game of dominance—especially since the two of them are starting to talk about her as if she weren't there—sits up straight, ready to give them a piece of her mind. But Simon interrupts her by resting his hand on her knee.

Simon takes a deep breath, aware that this is the first time he’s voiced his feelings for Nicole out loud. As he gently strokes her knee to give himself courage, he looks Dim straight in the eyes. Dim doesn't interrupt him but smiles, a mischievous glint in his eyes, and finally raises an eyebrow.

Dim bursts out laughing at their serious expressions, as if their whole lives were about to end tonight. Of course, he’s incredibly happy that Nicole finally seems to have found someone who’s a perfect match for her—and who truly seems to see her as the beautiful person she is.

The rest of the evening is much more relaxed than it started out. Simon and Dim really get to know each other without any judgment, and very quickly, Nicole’s uncle’s initial impression of her boyfriend fades away, replaced by their mutual love and respect for the young woman.

Her guitar soon ends up discarded on the floor, and she settles comfortably onto the couch, all the stress of singing in front of an audience soon forgotten. Her attention is entirely focused on Simon, and she loves to get lost in his blue eyes.

If the Nicole of the past knew how much time she spent picking out her “effortless” outfit, how eagerly she awaited his arrival, and saw her now sitting like that—straddling his lap—she’d probably be screaming with despair. But the present Nicole? She’s exactly where she dreams of being right now.

Nicole smiles against his lips. That peace is pleasant. If their make-out sessions are more intense, she isn't quite sure how far he wants to take things with her, so she takes it slow. She makes a mental note to bring up the subject, because if it were up to only her, they'd already be in her bed.

But there’s a huge gap between what Nicole wants and the reality. Dim pauses, stunned by the sight before him. Then he frowns. He clears his throat once, twice, to give them the courtesy of stepping away from each other. When, on the third try, nothing seems to make them budge, he raises his voice.

Nicole jumps off Simon's lap, both frightened by the sudden deep voice. Once the initial shock has worn out, Dim isn't really that angry, but he intends to make it clear to Nicole that she might be testing the limits a little too much… and to Simon that he has a lot to prove.

The two attempt to speak, but Dim silences them. It amuses him a little, mainly because Nicole tends to launch into long, dramatic tirades when she feels the need to defend herself. What amuses him a little less though, is the way she treats her guitar… How dare she leave it just lying there?!

Being in a relationship with Simon was different. Not in a weird kind of way, but more carefree, peaceful. Their arguments often ended in make-out sessions, and the tutoring went better when Simon got a reward kiss instead of a scowl.

They decided to keep their relationship fairly discreet at school, which led them to see each other more often outside of class. Nicole prefers to give her private lessons at home, which allows her to warm up her voice by playing the guitar, making the study sessions even more enjoyable.

After several hours of working on his paper, Simon sits up and rubs his neck. Having Nicole play and sing like she does right next to him really helps him concentrate, but he really needs a break, no matter what his 𝙩𝙤𝙧𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙤𝙧 says.

Simon sits down just a few centimeters away from Nicole, causing her to miss a few notes. Now that he’s lost his motivation to work, he’s determined to throw her off her game, too. And Nicole has a hard time resisting playing along with him…

As Simon gently cups the back of her neck to pull her toward him, she knows that neither of them will be working the rest of the afternoon. It’s always the same, and if she’s being honest, she enjoys this little routine. She returns his kiss, with just as much tenderness and passion.

Isa is sitting on the bed, flipping through an old photo album, when Jasper comes upstairs. Taken by surprise to find her here—and in what seems like a rather intimate moment for her—he stammers out a few apologies, but her sad gaze makes him instinctively step closer.

He bends down in front of Isa as she tells him about her conversation with Elli. Isa is completely consumed by guilt, feeling as though she has abandoned her family for far too long. Jasp takes her hands and kisses them, trying to reassure her as best he can.

To take her mind off things by getting her to talk about photo books, Jasper joins her on the bed, and her eyes light up with memories and moments of joy. Watcher, Jasper could spend hours watching her come alive like this as she loses herself in the story of her life—their life.

Memories come flooding back as the night wears on, until Isa opens up completely—about her doubts, her worries, and her fears regarding their children. Jasper listens intently, sometimes sharing her fears, sometimes finding the right words to rekindle that glimmer of hope in her eyes.

They talk about the past, present, and future, until he ends up falling asleep. She thinks about leaving the room, to bring this moment between them to an end, but with her head full of their memories and her heart filled with tenderness for him, she ends up curling up and falls asleep in his arms.

He hears her light footsteps on the stairs even before she knocks on his door. He knew he couldn’t avoid a conversation with his mother, not as long as she was under the same roof. Still a little lost in his own cloud of thoughts, Elli greets her coldly, which doesn’t escape Isa’s notice.

Elli sits up, overwhelmed by his sudden outburst, his eyes fixed on the details of his guitar, inspecting each string one by one rather than daring to meet his mother’s gaze after uttering words he knows are hurtful and go beyond what he intended. A heavy silence hangs in the air.

He expects her to walk away and burst into tears at any moment. Instead, he feels the mattress sink as she sits down beside him. Elliot never mentioned the kiss he saw between her and Damian again, and his confession comes out in a breath, as if a heavy weight had been lifted from his shoulders.

Feeling the weight of her guilt in Isa's words, Elli feels a knot forming in the back of his throat. He doesn't regret telling the truth, but he wishes he could flee the moment—though he can't. Isa softly strokes the guitar strings, letting a few notes escape, a nostalgic smile playing on her lips.

In a moment of raw truth and honesty, Isa presses her forehead against her son’s, resting her hand on his cheek. Her heart fills with warmth as his hand rests on hers, and she senses the weight on his shoulders lift just a little. They stay like that for a moment, in their own little bubble.

Isa finally stands up, placing a kiss on his forehead. Elli wasn't expecting it, but having such a heart-to-heart conversation with his mother turned out to be much more helpful than he could have imagined. Thoughts are swirling around in his head right now, almost jostling for space.

Elliot slips away to his bathroom as soon as he can, determined to take off his stage mask. Concert after concert, he grows more confident about performing on stage and forgets about the crowd. And little by little, this alter ego seems to take hold of him as soon as the spotlight falls on him.

But Elliot from Death by Loyalty isn't really Elli. This persona he’s slowly creating is capable of things that the solitary Elli wouldn't even do in the privacy of his own room. Elli isn't against the idea, quite the contrary. He just needs to find his usual peace of mind when he goes back home.

Back with himself again, his doubts and worries resurface immediately. The guilt of nearly getting his younger brother fired—and the fact that the latter never fails to remind him of it—has led Elli to almost stop smoking altogether lately, even if he misses it. Now music takes over everything else.

He tried to write songs for Erica for a while now. He hopes to make her feel how 𝙝𝙚 feels somehow, since he seems to only act like a loser when he’s around her lately. Putting words down on paper seems so easy when Isaac does it, but Elli struggles with every single word, every single sentence.

Elliot slumps backward, crushing his notebook full of unfinished songs, crossed-out words and frustration, letting out a deep sigh. Why are the words so clear in his head, yet so hard to capture on paper? Being a shitty boyfriend isn't what she deserves, and certainly not what he wants to offer her.

Ever since her heart-to-heart talk with Jasp, Isa has kept her promise to make more time for her children. Between Simon’s competition and Daph’s birthday, she’s starting to find herself again, little by little, in her own home, with her own family. And sabacc nights have always been her favorites.

Back from the concert and exhausted, Elliot collapses onto the couch next to his sister. Glancing toward the kitchen, he raises an eyebrow. Did he travel between dimensions after his performance? Since when have his parents been talking to each other so familiarly?

Hearing Elliot’s remarks, slightly too close to the truth for their liking, Simon and Daph exchange a glance. Daph sees the question mark in their younger brother’s eyes but discreetly shakes her head. No, he still doesn’t know, and no, this is clearly not the right time.

Daph subtly attempts to change the subject and brings up the Death by Loyalty concerts, more and more frequent at the bar where they started out. Elli grumbles, disappointed with his own performance, and appears to forget the previous discussion, his thoughts going straight back to stage.

It's hard to slip away during your own party, but Daph takes advantage of a quiet moment when no one is around to sit on the swing, waiting for Victor to arrive. He doesn't keep her waiting, but Daph can clearly see in his eyes that the situation is weighing heavily on his heart.

A second of silence falls between the two lovers, then two. As they lock eyes, Vic can see that she won’t give up so easily; she’s probably going over all her reasons internally, ready to bring them up one by one. She raises an eyebrow, a twinkle of mischief in her eyes as she waits for his answer.

Seeing that Daphne is still stubbornly sticking to the same opinion, despite knowing how frustrating the situation is for both of them, Victor sighs and closes his eyes, then turns to go back to the party. Daph stops him in his tracks, aware that she owes him an explanation.

Although she enjoys the thrill of a secret, that's true, she does want to tell the truth. But the situation around her still seems so fragile, so uncertain, that she’s afraid of causing a storm, yet more than anything, she’s afraid of being judged for how long she kept them as a secret.

No matter how much he fights back, he’s madly in love with her and lets her win this battle—for now. He’s been planning this for a while, but as they’re now YA, they can go on a trip without either of them having to answer anyone. And he fully intends to make the most of their newfound freedom.

Victor expects Daphne to enjoy her evening without paying him much attention. After all, he never thought he’d be able to celebrate her birthday with her tonight. But being a mere spectator of her happiness is a bitter pill to swallow. He wants by her side, he wants her to stop worrying.

So, when their eyes meet and she deliberately dances more slowly, more sensually, Vic raises an eyebrow. Of course, he’s noticed that Daph enjoys keeping their relationship a secret, even if she says otherwise, but what she loves even more is the thrill of knowing they could be caught at any moment.

When it's time to blow out her candles, Daphne couldn't be happier. 𝘽𝙤𝙩𝙝 of her parents are right alongside her, and everyone she loves and cares about has come to celebrate with her.

Taking a deep breath, her head and heart full of dreams and hopes, Daph blows out her candles, stepping into young adulthood with great excitement and anticipation for what the future holds.

Daphne doesn't notice the two men in the house; she's far too caught up in her birthday and, above all, her mother's presence. She doesn't hold it against Isa for needing some space, not really. But she needs to clear things up with her, so their relationship doesn't end up suffering as a result.

When Daph places her hands on her shoulders, Isa gently rubs one of them, aware that certain choices she herself regrets will be even harder for her children to accept. But one thing is for sure: she never tried to replace her children. Delighted to be the “favorite,” Daph claps her hands wildly.

As Jasper joins the women of his life, he expects Daph to be happy, but her joy exceeds all his expectations. She, who had seemed almost washed out lately, seems to have regained her usual enthusiasm and wit, much to his delighted surprise.

Jasper wraps his arms around Daph. He’s having a little trouble accepting that his first baby is already so grown up, even though she’s repeated the term “young adult” a billion times over the past few days. A smile plays on his lips; one thing is certain: his daughter will always be just the same.

Their conversation carries on outside the office, with Jasper once again trying to subtly shift the focus of the discussion. When Jasper casually mentions Daphne without naming her, Victor flinches slightly, as if remembering the weight of their future and the choices they’ll have to make for it.

Jasper stops in front of the door, trying not to grin too widely. Getting Isa to come to Daph’s birthday party was one thing, but finding a way to bring Victor along without the two young lovebirds—who remain stubbornly silent about their relationship—noticing his ruse was quite another matter.

The tender look Victor gives Daphne, however, answers all the questions Jasper could possibly want to ask about the two of them. Jasper feels almost like an intruder, as if he were witnessing the intimacy of Victor's thoughts, his love for Daph seeming so genuine and profound.

Jasper decides to pretend nothing has happened. His therapist advised him to stop throwing himself into things blindly without thinking about the consequences. So, he prefers to leave doors open—wider and wider, more and more obvious—hoping that he won’t have to force his way through one of them…

However, before he can celebrate his beloved daughter’s birthday, Jasper has something to sort out with Victor. Using the most basic excuse to get him to come round to their house, they discuss his internship, now coming to an end.

Jasper leans against his desk, breaking the distance between them. Over time—and for 𝙥𝙚𝙧𝙨𝙤𝙣𝙖𝙡 𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙨𝙤𝙣𝙨—Jasper has come to appreciate having Victor by his side, and he knows just how complicated and difficult his own behavior has been at times. Vic relaxes, even letting out a genuine laugh.

Jasper shakes Victor's hand, bringing their collaboration together to an end. He lets slip a remark that seems innocent at first glance but offers the possibility of an entirely different conversation. However, Victor never strays from his professional demeanor for a single second.

It didn’t take Daph long to agree to celebrate her birthday once she was sure that both her parents would be there and that there wouldn’t be any drama. She practically made them swear to it. But now, in the midst of the party, Daph is grateful for the effort that’s been made to make her happy.

No sooner had he got out of the pool than someone rushes at him, nearly causing him to fall back into the water. Never had he seen Nicole so ecstatic, letting out little squeals of joy. Never had he seen her so thrilled for him.

Still riding high on his victory and Nicole's boundless joy, he lifts her up and carries her in his arms, spinning her around. Lost in each other's eyes, forgetting the world around them, Simon summons all his courage and asks her the question that has been weighing on his mind for weeks now.

In response, Nicole’s lips crash down against his. While winning the competition had already been an explosion of joy, nothing compares to the fireworks going off inside his chest the moment their lips meet.

The two of them have been waiting for this moment for so long that it's hard to pull them apart, but Simon is the first to let go of Nicole, a smirk dancing on his lips. Nicole rolls her eyes but lets out a hearty laugh. Obviously, she'll be his girlfriend, what a dumb question!
